You land in Kathmandu and a Mega Mount Treks representative will meet you for your hotel transfer. Take the afternoon to settle in and rest up before the trek kicks off tomorrow.

Landmarks Kathmandu - Day 2
Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
A 35 minute domestic flight gets you from Kathmandu to Lukla early in the morning. From there you'll trek roughly 3 hours downhill through rhododendron forests to Phakding, where you'll stay at a mountain lodge and get used to the altitude.

Landmarks Lukla Phakding - Day 3
Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Today's hike takes about 5 hours as you head from Phakding up to Namche Bazaar, the bustling center of the Khumbu region. The path winds through pine and fir forests, and you'll check in at a mountain lodge for the night.

Landmarks Namche Bazaar - Day 4
Namche Bazaar to Everest Viewpoint to Khumjung and back to Namche
After an early start, you'll climb to the Everest viewpoint where the mountain itself comes into view along with surrounding peaks. Then you trek to Khumjung village before heading back down to Namche Bazaar for the night at your lodge.

Landmarks Mount Everest Khumjung - Day 5
Namche Bazaar to Thame
This day hike from Namche takes you to Thame, a quieter village with mountain views all around. You'll stay overnight at a mountain lodge and have time to walk around the village in the late afternoon.

Landmarks Thame - Day 6
Thame to Kongde
You'll trek from Thame to Kongde Hotel, traveling through high terrain with beautiful mountain scenery the whole way. Check in at Kongde Hotel Yeti Mountain Home and spend the evening there.

Landmarks Kongde - Day 7
Kongde to Phakding
The trek from Kongde heads back down toward Phakding, losing elevation as you go through forests and over ridges. You'll lodge in Phakding again and prepare for the walk out to Lukla.

Landmarks Phakding - Day 8
Phakding to Lukla
This is your exit trek from Phakding to Lukla, taking about 5 to 6 hours depending on your pace. You'll stay at a mountain lodge in Lukla and get an early night before your morning flight back to the capital.

Landmarks Lukla - Day 9
Lukla to Kathmandu
An early morning flight brings you back to Kathmandu from Lukla. After you land, a representative will transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore the city, grab lunch at a local restaurant, or just relax after trekking.

Departure from Kathmandu
