Igoumenitsa to Arta
You'll start with pickup from your hotel, airport, or marina and head to Parga, a resort town along the coast with a Venetian castle, turquoise water, and small islets nearby. After spending time walking around this coastal area, you'll continue on to Arta for your first night.

Arta to Nafpaktos
In Arta, you'll see the medieval stone bridge crossing the Arachthos River, remains from ancient Ambracia, and a 13th-century Byzantine castle. The Archaeological Museum is next on your list, then you'll head to Oiniades to check out the Theatre of Oeniadae with its distinctive horseshoe shape and great acoustics, which is on UNESCO's tentative list. After passing through the quiet town of Messolonghi and its wetland park, you'll reach Nafpaktos for the night.

- Day 3
Nafpaktos to Patras
Nafpaktos is a beach town with a nice port and a hilltop castle that gives you views out over the Ionian Sea, plus beaches with blue flag status. You'll learn about the Battle of Lepanto here and see a statue for Miguel de Cervantes. From there, you'll stop in Rio to view a medieval fortress and see the Rio-Antirrio Bridge, then continue on to Patras, Greece's third-largest city, where you'll stay the night.

Patras to Loutraki
After breakfast in Patras, you'll check out the medieval Castle of Patras for views of the city and the Ionian Sea, and visit the Cathedral of Saint Andrew, which holds significant Christian relics. Later, you'll head to Ancient Corinth to see the Temple of Apollo and walk through the archaeological site with its museums, temples, and fountains. You'll finish the day in Loutraki, a seaside resort town.

Loutraki to Loutraki (Mycenae excursion)
Following breakfast, you'll travel to Mycenae, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating to the 14th-13th century BC from the Mycenaean period. The famous Lion Gate is here, along with the Bronze Age citadel to explore. Next you'll see the Corinth Canal and the Ancient Diolkos for views across both gulfs. Back in Loutraki by evening, you'll have free time to spend as you like.

- Day 6
Loutraki to Delphi
You'll drive to Livadeia, positioned at the base of Mount Elikon and known for the Oracle of Trofonios and a small 14th-century medieval castle. After a walk along the Erkynas River, you'll continue to the Monastery of Hosios Loukas, a walled UNESCO World Heritage Site showing Middle Byzantine architecture. Next comes the mountain town of Arachova with its cobblestone streets and ski resort, then you'll arrive in Delphi for the night.

Delphi to Kalampaka
Delphi's Archaeological Site awaits this morning, a major UNESCO World Heritage location at Mount Parnassos' base and once considered the center of the ancient world. You'll explore the sanctuary with its monuments and see the archaeological museum across 14 rooms. Later, you'll travel to Thermopylae, the historic location where King Leonidas and 300 Spartans made their stand against Persian forces in 480 BC. By evening, you're in Kalampaka, where the Meteora cliffs light up around you.

- Day 8
Kalampaka to Kalampaka (Meteora excursion)
After breakfast, you'll explore Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with massive sandstone peaks rising from the landscape. Six Orthodox monasteries sit atop these rocks, places where monks have lived since the 11th century. Built during the 15th-century monastic revival, these structures provide incredible views over the plains and feature post-Byzantine art, including 16th-century frescoes on their walls.

Landmarks Meteora Monasteries - Day 9
Kalampaka to Litochoro
You'll continue around Meteora's clifftop monasteries today, keeping in mind each has different hours and closure days, so seeing them all takes multiple visits. After that, you'll head to Larissa, a historical town surrounded by valleys and mountains. The Ancient Theatre of Larissa is here, one of Greece's largest theaters built from marble and well-preserved. You'll stop at the Olympus National Park Information Center to see exhibits on geology, mythology, plants, and animals. By evening, you're in Litochoro at Mount Olympus' base.

Litochoro to Ioannina
You'll travel to Aigai, the ancient first capital of Macedonia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you'll see a monumental palace decorated with mosaics and painted stuccoes, plus a large burial ground holding over 300 royal tumuli from the 11th century BC. The tomb of Philip II is on site, the king who conquered all Greek cities and made way for his son Alexander the Great. Then you'll continue to Ioannina for your overnight stay.

- Day 11
Ioannina and Dodoni to Igoumenitsa
On your final day, you'll explore Ioannina, Epirus's capital, by walking through the historic center shaped by Christian, Muslim, and Jewish influences. The Castle of Ioannina, built in 528 AD and the country's oldest Byzantine fortress, holds several museums worth visiting. After that, you'll travel to the archaeological site of Dodoni in a valley below Mount Tomaros. You'll see the Theatre of Dodona that held 15,000-17,000 people, the Acropolis, and a stadium before heading back to Igoumenitsa for your departure.
