Itinerary
- Day 1
Delhi
You'll arrive in Delhi and start exploring Old Delhi right away. Head through Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque, then take a rickshaw ride through the busy Chandni Chowk market where the streets are packed with shops and vendors. After that, stop at Rajghat to see Mahatma Gandhi's memorial. Drive past some major colonial buildings including Parliament House, President's House, and India Gate. By evening, you'll check out Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before heading to your hotel for the night.

Delhi to Rishikesh
After breakfast, you'll drive to Rishikesh and get settled at your hotel. Then walk over to Lakshman Jhula, a suspension bridge said to be built by Lord Lakshman, which offers nice views of the Ganges River below. From there, head to Ram Jhula, another suspension bridge that connects the Sivananda Ashram with Swarg Ashram. Both bridges are popular spots for seeing the sacred river and the activity around the ashrams.

- Day 3
Rishikesh

Rishikesh to Haridwar
You'll have breakfast and do yoga in the morning, then drive to Haridwar, a major pilgrimage town about an hour away. Visit Mansa Devi Temple and Chandi Devi Temple, which are both popular stops. Next, head to Har Ki Pauri, one of the holiest ghats along the Ganges where pilgrims come to bathe. In the evening, the Aarti ceremony happens here too, so you'll get to see another riverside ritual before heading back to your hotel.

Haridwar to Chandigarh
After breakfast, you'll head to Pinjore to see the historic Mughal Gardens, which show off the architectural style from that period. Then continue on to Chandigarh where you can walk through the Rose Garden, Rock Garden, and Museum. These spots mix Mughal heritage with more modern design, so you get a sense of different periods of Indian architecture and culture in one day.

- Day 7
Dharamshala
After breakfast, visit the Tibetan Buddhist Center to learn about local practices and beliefs. Then check out a traditional Tibetan medicine institute where you can see how they approach healing. Later, walk around the Dalai Lama's residence and the government-in-exile buildings to understand the Tibetan community here. End the day with a guided walk through town to get oriented and see the neighborhood.

Amritsar

In the afternoon, head to the Wagah Border to watch the flag-lowering ceremony between India and Pakistan, which is lively and worth seeing.
