Itinerary
- Day 1Hotel to SossusvleiYour driver picks you up from the hotel between 7am and 8am, then you'll head south toward Sossusvlei. The route takes you through Spreetshoogte Pass viewpoint where the Namib landscape stretches out endlessly in all directions. After stopping for lunch at the Solitaire oasis, you'll reach your lodge around 3-4pm. Since temperatures are extremely hot at this hour (around 104°F/40°C), the afternoon is yours to relax by the pool before an early dinner and rest. - Meals

- Day 2SossusvleiStart before sunrise to get to Sesriem Gate and explore Sossusvlei. You'll climb Dune 45, which gives you views across the basin, then take an off-road drive over to Dead Vlei where ancient acacia trees stand lifeless and bleached white. If you've still got energy, Big Daddy or Big Mama dunes are waiting for you - both rank among the highest on Earth. Lunch happens back at Sesriem, and you'll spend the afternoon resting from the heat. Later, once temperatures drop, you'll check out Sesriem Canyon. - Meals

- Day 3Sossusvlei to SwakopmundToday shifts from desert to sea as you cross the Tropic of Capricorn and drive through Gaub and Kuiseb passes. The landscape transforms as you descend into Kuiseb Canyon then climb back up, watching the desert gradually fade into coastal scenery. You'll stop in Walvis Bay to watch flamingos and other birds in the lagoons before having lunch. From there, it's on to Swakopmund for the night. Find your own dinner at a local restaurant in town. - Meals

- Day 4Swakopmund to EtoshaYour hotel pickup happens between 8am and 8:30am for a long drive to Okaukuejo. The journey includes a fuel and supply stop in Usakos. You'll drive through sections of the national park looking for wildlife along the way. After several hours on the road, you'll arrive at your accommodation just before sunset. Dinner wraps up the evening and your day's travels. - Meals

- Day 5Etosha to WindhoekPrepare for a long scenic drive back to Windhoek through towns and rural areas. You'll stop in Okahandja, which is home to Namibia's largest wood carving market. Local cooperatives have set up stalls with a wide variety of authentic Namibian souvenirs and crafts. The drive continues after this stop, and you should pull into Windhoek in the late afternoon or early evening, finishing your journey. - Meals
