- AWAndrew· July 31st, 2024The actual tour and hotel selections were excellent. The reason I took away a star is that the bike support could have been better. The tire pressures on the bikes were low upon the start of the tour. Also, our ebike suffered a rear sprocket failure at the beginning of the ride and had we not found a repair shop that could take us right away I'm not sure what would have happened. We could have lost more than the 2 hours it took to get the bike repaired. Regular bike repairs are relatively predictable and easy to fix (flat tire, cable breakage, etc) Ebike repairs are much more complex and a patch kit and pump just doesn't provide enough confidence that a repair can be made. UTracks must make replacement bikes - especially ebikes - easily available and deliverable to riders even if they are in the middle of the countryside. Or, if a bike is not immediately available then a pickup and ride to the next hotel where a bike can be replaced.Show moreUTracks commented on this reviewThanks for your great review Andrew - it's so good to hear you had an excellent time exploring Belgium with our services! - SLShelley· May 15th, 2024Tour was overall a success. Route was as described in terms of difficulty and terrain. The maps provided were beautiful and well organized, however some local intel about two route closures would have been helpful. The hotels chosen were lovely, despite a few of them being further out of town than was convenient, especially on days when many restaurants are closed (Mondays, Wednesdays, Holidays) and if weather is wet. Warnings about this were included with our tour packet, but we did not receive that until a few days before our trip and we failed to do our due deligence to make restaurant reservations as we should have. All hosts were friendly and helpful...the people of Belgium were overwhelmingly very positive and welcoming! The breakfasts that were included were lavish and plentifulShow moreUTracks commented on this reviewThanks for sharing these great insights from your tour, Shelley! Belgium is a fantastic place to explore by bike and it sounds like you've had a great time despite the wet weather. We look forward to having you on another UTracks active holiday in Europe.Trip date: May 2024
