Kathmandu
You'll arrive in Kathmandu and connect with your guide at the airport. After getting settled at your hotel, there's an orientation session to help you understand what's ahead. Later, you'll sit down for a traditional Nepali dinner where you can meet other travelers and get a feel for local flavors. The evening might include a cultural program, so you can start learning about the city's heritage right away.

- Day 2
Kathmandu to Pokhara
Today you're heading west from Kathmandu toward Pokhara. The drive takes you across the Kathmandu Valley and you'll pass the Trisuli River with its white water rushing below. From there, you'll follow the Marshyangdi River as it winds westward. By late afternoon, you'll reach Pokhara, a lakeside city that feels completely different from Kathmandu's energy, with mountains reflected in the water and a much quieter pace overall.

- Day 3
Pokhara
Pokhara's main attractions fill your day. You can walk up to the white Peace Pagoda on the hillside for views across the lake and surrounding hills. There's a boat ride on Lake Phewa that takes you to an island temple. Afterward, you'll check out the Tibetan Refugee Camp to see how communities have settled there, then wander through local temples and monasteries. By evening, you'll stroll along the lakeside shops and restaurants, watching the light change over the water.

Pokhara to Kathmandu
You'll fly from Pokhara back to Kathmandu on a route that passes near Mount Manaslu, the eighth highest peak in the world, so the views from the plane are exceptional. Once in Kathmandu, you're driven to Patan's Durbar Square, which is filled with carved stone and wood that shows traditional Newari craftsmanship, the old royal residence, a museum, and various temples. Later in the afternoon, you'll head to Nagarkot to catch the sunset illuminating the snow-capped Himalayan range.

Nagarkot to Changu Narayan
Wake early in Nagarkot to watch the sunrise paint the Himalayas in shades of pink and gold as light spreads across the snow. After that, you'll drive to Changu Narayan, a quieter village that's been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The main temple here is dedicated to Vishnu and dates back about 800 years, with a two-story pagoda structure that blends Hindu and Buddhist design. You can walk the narrow lanes and see local people making pottery and crafts.

Kathmandu
This day focuses on two major UNESCO sites in the valley. First, you'll visit Boudhanath, which holds Asia's largest Buddhist stupa with countless prayer wheels and colorful flags everywhere. The spiritual energy is quite strong there. Then you'll go to Pashupatinath, one of Asia's most important Hindu temples, situated along the Bagmati River. You'll explore the monasteries, smaller shrines, and temples while learning how both Tibetan Buddhist and Hindu traditions coexist here.
