Itinerary
- Day 1
Chennai Heritage City Tour
Your hotel pickup happens at 9:00 AM, and you'll head out with a local guide to see Chennai's historical sites. First stop is Kapaleeshwarar Temple, an ancient structure with intricate architecture, then you'll move on to Fort St. George to walk through the colonial-era buildings and grounds. The Government Museum comes next, where you can spend time looking at artifacts that go back several centuries. You'll break for lunch around midday at a local spot (paying separately for your meal). After eating, the afternoon takes you to Marina Beach for a relaxing walk along the coast. From there, you'll check out San Thome Basilica and Vivekananda House before the drive back loops past the Madras High Court and Ripon Building, two iconic structures worth seeing from the car. You'll be back at your hotel by 6:00 PM.
