Itinerary
- Day 1
Bhubaneswar
You'll arrive at Bhubaneswar airport and get transferred to your hotel to settle in. The rest of your day focuses on the city's temple culture, so you'll visit Parasurameshwar, Mukteshwar, Rajarani, and Lingaraj temples to get a sense of the architectural styles here. After that, head to the ancient Jain caves at Khandgiri and Udayagiri, which date back centuries and show the region's religious diversity. Then you'll make your way to Dhauli Rock Edicts where Emperor Ashoka's inscriptions are carved into the stone, offering a glimpse into India's early history. Before heading back to your hotel, stick around for the evening light and sound show at Dhauli, which brings these ancient messages to life.

- Day 2
Bhubaneswar to Bhitarkanika
You'll have breakfast and then drive toward Bhitarkanika National Park. On the way, stop to explore the Buddhist sites of Ratnagiri, Udaigiri, and Lalitgiri, where you'll see sculptures and structures from the 1st century, including the remains of Puspagiri University. The route takes you through quiet villages and green landscapes before you reach your jungle accommodation in the heart of Bhitarkanika, which is India's second-largest mangrove forest. You'll be staying at a jungle cottage or tent, and this location is known for protecting Olive Ridley turtles and other wildlife.

Bhitarkanika
After breakfast, you'll spend the full day on a boat safari through the mangrove creeks, keeping an eye out for crocodiles, kingfishers, and various bird species. Later, you'll visit Bagagahan Bird Sanctuary and climb the watchtower for views across the landscape where pelicans and storks are often spotted. Then stop by the Crocodile Museum at Dangamal to learn about these prehistoric creatures and their role in the ecosystem. By evening you'll return to your jungle cottage or tent for the night, surrounded by the quiet of Bhitarkanika.

On the return route, stop once more at Ratnagiri, Udaigiri, and Lalitgiri to spend more time with the Buddhist art and peaceful atmosphere of these sites. After arriving in Bhubaneswar, you'll head to the airport or your hotel for your departure, completing your tour of Odisha's temples, history, and wildlife.
