Vienna
You'll arrive in Vienna with your afternoon free to settle in and explore on your own. This evening you'll meet your Travel Director and the other people on the tour for dinner at a local restaurant where wine will be served.

Vienna
Start with a Local Expert who'll show you Schönbrunn Palace and its formal gardens, walking through the Rococo architecture and grounds. From there you'll drive along the Ringstrasse to see major buildings like the Opera House, Hofburg Imperial Residence, Parliament Building, and Karlskirche. Later you'll participate in a Viennese Waltz workshop in a sensory studio that supports the visually impaired community.

Prague
You'll cross into the Czech Republic to reach Český Krumlov for an orientation tour of the medieval town. After that you have free time to walk the cobblestone streets and see views of the Vltava River before checking out the castle. Then you'll travel through Bohemian countryside on your way to Prague.

- Day 4
Prague
You have a choice this morning: either explore Prague Castle courtyards and St. Vitus Cathedral, or join a Local Expert walking through the Jewish Quarter learning about Prague's Jewish heritage and trying traditional Czech pastries. Later you'll visit Old Town Square to see the mechanical Astronomical Clock. The afternoon is free for you to wander around on your own.

Auschwitz, Poland
You'll drive through rolling Czech countryside before entering Poland. A Local Expert will guide you through the Oświęcim (Auschwitz) memorial and museum to learn about this significant and solemn part of history.

Kraków
Your morning starts with an optional visit to the 600-year-old Wieliczka Salt Mine where you can explore underground salt sculptures and a cathedral carved from rock salt, or you can take it easy before the day's activities. You'll then see Wawel Hill Cathedral and walk through the Old Town past Pope John Paul II's former residence. You'll check out Europe's largest town square with the medieval Cloth Hall and 14th-century St. Mary's Basilica, and listen for the famous trumpeter in the tower. For dinner, you'll choose from hand-picked local restaurants.

Budapest
You'll head into the Slovakian region of Orava to see Oravský Hrad Castle. After that you'll travel through the Low Tatra Mountains on your way to Budapest.

Budapest
You'll tour the Liszt Music Academy from 1875 and listen to a student recital. A Local Expert will then take you through Budapest, visiting Heroes' Square and Andrássy Boulevard in Pest, then walking through medieval streets in Buda with views from Fisherman's Bastion. The afternoon is yours to relax by the Danube or shop on Vaci Street. Dinner will feature Hungarian specialties paired with specially selected wines.
