- AAnnaTorchia· October 20th, 2019We booked this trip with very high intentions as this was not cheap, With the exception of two hotels included in the thirteen day trip only two really came close to a five star rating. I have travelled quite a bit through Italy and it boggles the mind as to why Insight would take a group of tourists into the region of Puglia and yet not locate accommodations close to the ocean where the landscapes are breathtaking. The included dinners were nothing to rave about definitely not five star. The tour guide was extremely pushy when suggesting all the extra guided tours which was a complete turn off. Not enough value for the price they charge.Show more

Trip date: September 2017 - JGjennifer Di· December 26th, 2015Southern italy is beautiful and seeing it by bus was relaxing and enjoyable. We have not stopped raving about it to our friends and even thoufh there are some beautiful places in this would of ours i would do this tour again. Insight buses are roomy and relaxing and take all the stress out of a holiday. Our driver and guide were amazing. I really hope we get to travel again with insight soon.Show moreTrip date: July 2012

Asked on January 31st, 2023Have read that some of the hotels are not near the towns and transport is needed. Deal breaker for us..expect all accommodation to be near sites and resturants..your comment?
Insight VacationsOperator•Written February 2023With Insight you normally do have really nice accomodation between 4 and 5 star and the hotels are normally located as close to the city centre as possible. It looks like for this trip you do have certain places on the itinerary where that is just not possible. Either due to the size of the city or the streets within it that may not allow a bus to stop or go through to get into the hotels located right in the heart. In those places you will be taken into the city to enjoy them to your full extent. In other places you should be quite close to the city centres. Places like Sorrento, Palmero and Rome would be centrally located for example.

This tour has already been popular with solo travellers so if you would like to join this departure we would need to request availability from our operations team. There is also the option of sharing a room with another traveler on this departure.
