- Day 1
Nairobi to Masai Mara
You'll leave Nairobi early and drive out to Masai Mara National Reserve. Once you settle into your lodge or tented camp, there's time to rest before heading out on an afternoon game drive. That's when you'll start looking for lions, elephants, zebras, and everything else roaming across the Mara landscape. The drive takes several hours from the city, so you'll want to be ready for some road time before the real adventure begins.

Masai Mara
This is a full day dedicated to game drives across Masai Mara, and you'll have a real chance at spotting the Big Five, lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo all in their natural habitat. If you're interested, there's an optional visit to a Maasai village to learn about how the local people live and their traditions. You'll grab lunch either out in the park or back at the lodge, then head out again for an evening drive when different animals become active.

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
After breakfast you'll drive to Lake Nakuru National Park and check into your lodge. Spend some time settling in and relaxing, then in the afternoon you'll head out on a game drive. Along the lake you'll see flamingos, rhinos, and other wildlife, and the views across the Rift Valley from here are really worth the trip. The landscape here is quite different from the Mara.

Landmarks Lake Nakuru National Park - Day 4
Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha
You'll head out after breakfast and drive to Lake Naivasha, where you'll check into a lodge right on the water. In the afternoon, you'll take a boat ride across the lake to look for hippos and various bird species that are common in this area. If you want something more active, there's an optional walking tour on Crescent Island where you can get closer to the wildlife on foot.

Lake Naivasha to Hell's Gate National Park to Nairobi
After breakfast you'll drive to Hell's Gate National Park for a half-day experience. You can explore the park either on foot or by bicycle, moving through cliffs and gorges while watching for wildlife, and it's great for photos. Later in the day you'll drive back to Nairobi, heading to either your hotel or the airport depending on your schedule.
