When I arrived in Cairo, I was picked up by a driver and drove me to the hotel. I stayed at Azal hotel which is nice, and also the breakfast was included. The following day, I was picked up by the driver name, Salwa, and met my tour guide, Aya El Ayouty (whats upp# +201102294143). She's an excellent guide. After the day tour, they dropped me of at the train station for a sleeper train. Note: Read the entirety of the brochure especially the "additional services", the sleep train cost is not included. I did not read it so I was surprised when I was asked to pay for the sleeper train which is $180. The train is an overnight ride and when I arrived in Luxor, I was greeted by my tour guide, Mohammed, (whatsapp# +201552669877). Mohammed is very intelligent and well knowledgeable about the Egyptian history. For those who love Egyptian history and want to learn a lot, I suggest to contact Mohammed directly to be your guide. It's just unfortunate for me because I did not get enough sleep at the sleeper train and did not consume enough coffee when I arrived in Luxor, thus, my brain is not equipped to retain all the information that Mohammed shared with me. Enough excuses, I was just not smart enough to remember all the details. Anyway, Mohammed is an excellent guide. After Luxor, I took the sleeper train again to go back to Cairo. I took the additional tour to go to Alexandria. At Cairo station, I was picked up by Ahmed and drove me to Alexandria. Once I arrived in Alexandria, my tour guide Nesroo (whatsapp#+201123092661), greeted me and started my tour to see the highlights of Alexandria. Once the tour is done, Ahmed drove me back to Cairo, back to my hotel at Azal. My last day in Cairo, I was picked up by Salwa and took me to the airport. In summary, I enjoyed this tour and totally recommend this tour. I read a previous review that this company needed more organization. For me, I took the initiative to message the tour operator, through whatsup, to confirm the pick up time and location for my next tour activity. In this way, there's no confusion and also kind of reminding the operator of your schedule. Hope this review helps. Have fun on your visit to Egypt.

    Asked on July 22nd, 2023

Is the train ticket fee including both rides? or is it just for the return? Can you please confirm that the museum on the second day is the Egyptian Museum? as it is listed as the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities. Can you please confirm that you can pick Diana's daughter up at 4AM on August 5th as she has to catch her flight back to Sydney?

    • Ancient Egypt ToursOperatorWritten July 2023

The train ticket includes both rides from Cairo to Luxor and back from Luxor to Cairo. The Egyptian Museum and The Museum of Egyptian Antiques are the same thing so yes Egyptian Museum confirmed. Yes we will pick up Dianna's daughter at 4 am but each tour has only one pickup from the airport and one drop off if the Diana needs to add more there will be extra charge.

When I booked this tour, I believed there would be others in the tour group, all meeting up for the excursions to the pyramids, traveling on the train to Luxor together etc. This would then enable her to meet others. I did read that there were still 10 + places available on this tour when I was booking so I thought others would also be booked in. She is too young to be traveling independantly and alone in Egypt, hence the tour booking. Can you please confirm the situation with others in the group and if she is the only person, can anything be done to enrich her experience and meet others?

    • Ancient Egypt ToursOperatorWritten July 2023

I can see that you are worried. I assure you that she is in good hands. We are an operator with guaranteed departures even if I have only one guest. She is in a hotel with a lot of our customers. Our Office and residence of some of us is next to the hotel. She is accompanied by a wonderful guide. Her name is Dina she is one of our best. It is totally safe and all her transfers are in our cars and drivers. As for the train it is absolutely safe but if it makes you feel better we can substitute the train with a flight and instead of spending the night in the train she will stay in the hotel and catch the flight in the morning and I will charge you only USD$ 20 extra charge. You have to confirm today in order to make the arrangements. I assure you that she is totally safe and will have a great time.

If there is more time in Cairo due to only 1 traveller, would it be possible to stop at the markets or a mosque on route to or from the Giza sites? Just a thought as she won't feel comfortable doing this alone on Tuesday, her free day.

    Asked on February 19th, 2023

What time does day #2 begin? I ask because we are set to arrive in Cairo at 10 pm, after a 20+ hour flight and I want to be sure we have time to rest. Must meals on the train be eaten in the food car? I would be more comfortable eating in the sleeper car if that is allowed. If there are two of us, is it possible to get a sleeper car for only the two of us? How much time is allotted for us at the various sights, such as the Giza Plateau, Valley Temple, etc?

Meals on sleepers train is served in the cabin. The cabin accommodates only two travellers. Beverages are available in the food car not included in the price of the ticket. Site visits are different some sites could take an hour others two hours. Most sites in Cairo ends visits at 16:00 so accordingly your visit will start.
