Itinerary
- Day 1
Cusco to Humantay Lake
Your day starts early with hotel pickup in Cusco between 4:00 and 5:00 a.m., then you'll drive roughly 3 hours to Mollepata village for breakfast. From there, the drive continues to Soraypampa where your trek kicks off. You'll hike upward to reach Humantay Lake at 4,200 meters, where the high-altitude turquoise water is pretty striking for photos. While there, you'll take part in a traditional coca ceremony that honors Pachamama and the mountain spirits known as Apus. After making your way back down to Soraypampa, lunch happens in Mollepata before the drive returns you to your Cusco hotel later that evening.
