Itinerary
- Day 1
Ho Chi Minh City to Cai Be to Can Tho
Your pickup happens at 6:30 AM from your Ho Chi Minh City hotel, then you'll drive along Trung Luong Expressway toward Cai Be. The boat ride takes you out to the floating market on Tien River, where you can watch the early morning activity before paddling through smaller canals deeper into the Upper Mekong Delta. At Ba Kiet ancient house, you'll see how locals make coconut fudges and crispy rice popcorn, plus try fresh fruit while traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music plays in the background. After that, lunch involves helping prepare food in a local garden setting. The afternoon brings a cycling trip through village orchards where you'll meet residents and get a feel for daily life here. By evening you'll head to Can Tho for your overnight stay.

Can Tho
Starting after breakfast at your hotel or homestay, you'll take a boat out to explore the Lower Mekong River's tributaries, particularly the Bassac River. Cai Rang floating market is your next stop, and it's the most active market in the region so there's plenty to see. From there, you'll walk through fruit plantations and visit a local noodle factory to see how they make their products.
