Highlights
- Attractive year-round destination: Madeira has mild temperatures almost all year round – from February to December. This not only benefits the flora, but also you on a cycling holiday!
- Colourful natural spectacle: Madeira is known all over the world for its lush, evergreen vegetation. The exotic flora is responsible for the nickname ‘flower island’.
- Natural swimming pools in Porto Moniz: The lava stone swimming pools are a truly impressive natural spectacle!
- Bus transfers for the steep climbs: The often very steep stages such as in Caniço, Porto da Cruz or Sao Vincenta are covered by bus – transfer included!
- Cable car to Monte: On the last day, enjoy bike-free time in the island capital of Funchal with a cable car trip to Monte and the tropical garden Jardim Tropical.

Customer Reviews
- Sabine· October 3rd, 2024Well organized trip. Luggage transportation worked very well. Itinerary is very beautiful. Can be recommended at any time.Show more
- John· April 21st, 2024Bikes: Good to excellent, saddle size was a downgrade. The large, padded saddles caused new friction where sitting wear points didn't exist. Unfortunately, bike companies refuse to standardize bike saddles so there is no solution for clients traveling too far to bring a saddle. Route: appreciate the tremendous work on routing . . . but it appeared as fair-weather routing. Spring rains turned many (most) miles of hard-packed dirt (with a bit of gravel) into mud, hectares of mud. (And in the water/mud, one cannot see the potholes.) We made a few ride-arounds after bogging down too often in the seasonal mud. We also rode around the silly segment to 'walk the bikes on the sand'. Recommend Eurobike recommend one free and one pay mapping routing service to clients to use with the GPX provided. Lodging: Strongly prefer lodging on the route and with local flavor vs corporate (holiday vs business traveler). Lagos - Hotel Tavoli had ants in the bathroom. Lodging at Albefera, Cerro da Marina was excessively off the route and in a heavily residential area. Luggage transfer: perfect.Show more
- Karin· May 24th, 2025Everything was so well organised we could just relax and ride the bikes. We hired bikes and they were in great condition and gave us no problems- I would definitely recommend this holiday. The accomodation was excellent too.Show more
