Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Lukla
Your 40-minute mountain flight to Lukla sets the tone for what's ahead. Weather cooperates most of the time, though you might experience some turbulence depending on conditions. Once you land, you'll meet your crew and have some tea before starting the trek to Phakding, where you'll spend your first night in a teahouse.

- Day 2
Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Today involves a relatively easy trek with multiple suspension bridges crossing the landscape. You'll pass through Benkar and Manjo as you move along, and near Manjo your permits get checked before entering Sagarmatha National Park. If visibility is good, you'll spot Mount Everest after about 1.5 hours of uphill walking from Larpchen Bridge. The day ends in Namche Bazaar.

- Day 3
Namche Bazaar
This is your acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. After breakfast, head to the Everest View Hotel for views that take in Amadablam, Thamserku, Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse all at once. You'll return to your lodge whenever you feel like it, stopping by the Everest Museum and wandering through the busy market area of Namche Bazaar.

Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
Walking through green forests with yaks moving supplies alongside you, the trail mixes flat sections with both downhill and uphill stretches. Tengboche sits on a hilltop where you get views of the Khumbu Valley and Mount Amadablam towering above. Before settling into your teahouse for the night, you can walk around the monastery.

Tengboche to Dingboche
Rivers, forests, and rolling hills with mountain views make up your trekking day. After passing through Pangboche and Somare, you'll reach Dingboche valley, which sits between Nagarshan Hill, Chhukung Valley, and Amadablam Mountain. It's a nice spot to settle in for the evening.

Dingboche
Before heading higher, you need more acclimatization time. Either hike up Nagarshan Hill to 5,100m/16,730 feet for the acclimatization benefit, or explore Chhukung Valley instead. After that, you'll return to your teahouse to rest. Since Dingboche is the last sizable village on the route, this is your chance to wander around and get the feel of the place.

Dingboche to Lobuche
An all-day push toward Lobuche takes you through grassy meadows and scrub landscape with some flat sections mixed in. The Everest Memorial at Thukla Pass stands out as the main highlight, offering views of Pumori, Lobuche, and Cholatse. Lobuche itself is a quiet village on a riverbank with Kong Ma La Pass in view.

Lobuche to Everest Base Camp to Gorakshep
After climbing over Lobuche Pass, the terrain becomes rocky and rough as you traverse moraine, so watch your footing carefully. You'll drop your bags at Gorakshep and grab lunch. Then it's about 1.5 hours on foot to Everest Base Camp, the main point of this entire trek. You'll take photos, soak in the moment, and trek back to Gorakshep for the night.

- Day 9
Gorakshep to Kalapathar to Lukla
Get up early and climb Kalapathar before sunrise to see light hitting the mountains as they wake up. This view makes all the physical effort worth it. Later, a helicopter flies you back down to Lukla, wrapping up the high-altitude portion of your trek.

Lukla to Kathmandu
