Tarangire National Park
Head south from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, about 115 km away. The park stretches along the Tarangire River in a long, narrow shape, and you'll see large elephant herds, baobab trees, and if you're lucky, tree-climbing African pythons. During the dry season, the river becomes the main water source for animals in the area, so wildlife congregates here.
