- KYKrish Sudeep· May 1st, 2025Day 1 – Delhi Hotel to Railway Station: The cab arrived on time, and Ruchi was very kind and welcoming. One suggestion for improvement: instead of Red Bull, offering refreshments like Coke, cold coffee, or other soft drinks would be a more suitable option. Day 1 & 2 – Amritsar: Our Amritsar tour guide, Rishi, was punctual and greeted us at the platform with a placard. He is an outstanding guide—explaining everything clearly and in detail. Without a doubt, he is the best guide I’ve ever had—10 out of 10! Our driver, Gurvinder Singh, was also exceptional—very professional and kind. Both Rishi and Gurvinder played a big role in making our Amritsar visit smooth and memorable. Day 3 – Dharamshala: Once again, Gurvinder was on time and picked us up from the hotel—always dependable. Unfortunately, our experience with the local guide in Dharamshala was disappointing. He met us midway between Dal Lake and the Church of St. John but offered no proper introduction—not even his name or an overview of the day’s plan. All he said was “Welcome to Dharamshala.” During the tour, there was minimal explanation or background provided. At Bhagsunath Temple and the waterfall, for instance, he simply stated, “This is a temple,” without offering any insight. As tourists, we expect a guided tour to include meaningful context and storytelling, which was missing here. Day 4 – Delhi Airport Pickup: The driver was delayed and arrived without a placard. I called executive Ms. Ruchi, who informed me the driver would arrive in 5–10 minutes. However, no one showed up during that time. We waited outside at all arrival points—A, B, and C—but couldn’t locate anyone. The driver eventually arrived 15–20 minutes late. There was no apology for the delay, and instead of picking us up at the designated point, he asked us to walk approximately 750 meters apparently to avoid paying the parking fee. This was quite inconvenient, especially after a long journey.Show more
