Itinerary
- Day 1
Delhi to Amritsar
You'll board the Swarna Shatabdi Express train heading to Amritsar. Once you arrive, head to the Wagah Border to catch the Beating Retreat Ceremony, which happens every day and draws quite a crowd with its military precision. After checking into your hotel, you can walk through the Golden Temple grounds and see the main structure with its distinctive golden dome. The Guru Ka Langar is right there too, serving free meals to visitors throughout the day, so you'll have the chance to join thousands of others for lunch if you'd like.

- Day 2
Amritsar to Dharamsala
Start this morning at the Golden Temple, then make your way to Durgiana Temple and the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum. You'll get a feel for the city's history at Gobindgarh Fort before hopping on a rickshaw and walking through the old market to see how locals live and shop. Later in the afternoon, stop by Jallianwala Bagh memorial to pay respects. After that, you'll transfer to Dharamsala, which takes a few hours. By evening, you'll be settled at your hotel and can explore McLeodganj's Tibetan neighborhoods, check out some Buddhist temples, and soak in the local vibe.

- Day 3
Dharamsala
This day focuses on McLeodganj's Tibetan culture. You'll visit monasteries, temples, and schools scattered throughout town, and you'll see prayer flags and monks in their robes everywhere. The Tsuglagkhang cathedral is worth your time, and then head out to Dal Lake, a quiet spot ringed by Deodar trees that's nice for a walk. Bhagsunath Temple is another stop, and there's a waterfall nearby too. The Church of St. John in the Wilderness has some beautiful stained glass if you're interested in that. The evening is yours to relax and take in the peaceful surroundings.

Dharamsala to Delhi
After breakfast, you'll head to the airport for your flight back to Delhi. When you land, someone will help you get to your hotel, wrapping up your trip through Amritsar and Dharamsala.
