Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou to Dades Valley
Your journey starts by crossing Tizi n Tichka peak at 2260m/7414ft, where you'll drive through shifting landscapes that go from mountains into desert terrain and back up into the Atlas range. Once you reach Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a local guide takes you through the Berber village to show you traditional ways of living and the historic structures. After lunch at a local restaurant, you'll head through the Roses Valley on your way to your accommodation, an authentic Berber hotel where you'll spend your first night.

- Day 2
Dades Valley to Merzouga Desert
Following breakfast, the drive to Merzouga includes a stop at a scenic canyon with rocky mountain walls and a river running through it. Your guide meets you there to explain the distinct differences between nomads, Arabs, and Berbers in the region. You'll have lunch at a local restaurant with views overlooking the mountains and river below. From there, it's onward to Merzouga where you'll leave your large bags behind and get ready for your camel trek into the desert that starts later.

- Day 3
Merzouga Desert to Marrakech
At 5:30 AM, you head up to the top of a sand dune to catch the sunrise in quiet solitude. After breakfast, you ride camels back to the pickup point where your driver is waiting with your luggage. The long drive back to Marrakech takes you past old mud-brick Kasbah ruins scattered across the landscape, and you'll arrive in the early evening or late afternoon, depending on traffic and stops along the way.
