Arrival in Colombo
You'll land at Colombo International Airport where your Holiday Lanka Tours driver will be waiting. The drive into the city takes about 40 minutes, giving you time to settle in and take in your first views of Sri Lanka's capital. Once you arrive, the afternoon is dedicated to exploring Colombo itself. The National Museum has a solid collection covering the country's history, and Gangarama Temple is right in the city center if you want to see some local religious architecture. You'll head to your hotel after these stops, so you can freshen up before dinner.

Once you reach Galle in the afternoon, the city tour includes Galle Fort (a historic coastal fortification), the National Maritime Museum, and the Lighthouse for some good views over the water.
