Itinerary
- Day 1
Budapest
Your driver meets you at Ferenc Liszt Airport and takes you to your hotel in the city center. After dropping off your bags, the rest of the day is open for you to wander around at your own pace. Take a walk along the Danube River to get a sense of Budapest's layout and atmosphere, or just relax at your hotel after your travels.

Budapest
Meet your guide at the hotel for a full day covering Budapest's main sights. You'll head to Citadella and Gellert Hill for views, then tour Buda Castle and Matthias Church. After seeing the Parliament Building from outside and visiting Saint Stephen's Basilica, you'll walk through City Park and Heroes Square before heading down Andrassy Avenue. Lunch happens in the Castle District, then you have free time. Later in the evening, take a one-hour boat cruise on the Danube with drinks and an audio guide.

Danube Bend
Your guide picks you up for a half-day trip to the Danube Bend area. First you'll walk around Szentendre for souvenir shopping, then head to Visegrad to see the Royal Palace. Lunch is in Visegrad. In the afternoon, you can choose to relax at Szechenyi Thermal Spa or optionally visit the Central Market Hall if you prefer. After that, your driver takes you back to Budapest and your hotel.

Budapest to Lake Balaton
Meet your guide for the drive to Lake Balaton, about 1.5 hours from Budapest. This is Central Europe's largest freshwater lake with plenty of activities and performances happening. You'll ride the nostalgia train through the baroque-styled town of Balatonfured, walk along the lake's scenic shores, and explore Tihany Peninsula with its vineyards and buildings. The historic Benedictine monastery at Tihany Abbey is also on the agenda. Lunch happens in Csopak, and you'll spend the night at a hotel by the lake.

Lake Balaton to Pecs
After breakfast, your guide drives you to Pecs, a historic city near the Croatia border about 2 hours away. Once there, you'll see the Basilica, Bishop's Palace, Stephans Square, the Zsolnay Museum, and the Mosque of Gazi Kaszim Pasha. Grab lunch in the city center, then settle in for the night at your hotel in Pecs.

Pecs to Eger to Budapest
Your guide takes you to Eger, Hungary's main wine region, about 3 hours from Pecs. The city tour includes a visit inside the Castle of Eger, the Minaret, and the Cathedral on the main square. After lunch, head to the Valley of the Beautiful Women for local wine tastings at several cellars. By dusk, your driver returns you to Budapest.
