Itinerary
- Day 1
Kilimanjaro Airport / Arusha to Arusha
Your driver will meet you at Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport and take you to Merves Hotel in Arusha. You'll settle in for the night with half board included, which gives you time to rest before your trek begins.

- Day 2
Arusha to Mandara Hut
After breakfast at the lodge, you'll head into Kilimanjaro National Park to start trekking. The first day takes you through dense rainforest for about 3 to 4 hours where you might see black and white colobus monkeys. You'll reach Mandara Hut by afternoon, and then your guide takes you to nearby Maundi Crater for views toward Kenya before dinner and overnight.

Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut
An early breakfast gets you moving from Mandara Hut. As you trek upward for 5 to 6 hours, the forest gradually thins out and the vegetation shifts from trees to shrubs as you reach the treeline. Horombo Hut comes into view with great views of Mawenzi, Kibo peak, and the Masai steppe stretching out below. You'll have dinner and rest there overnight.

- Day 4
Horombo Hut (Acclimatization Day)
Today is for acclimatization, so you're taking it easier. After a relaxed breakfast, you'll walk to Zebra Rocks to see those distinctive black and white striped formations. A cooked lunch will be ready when you return to Horombo Hut, leaving the afternoon free for you to rest and build your strength for the harder days ahead.

Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
This day pushes you with a long 5 to 6 hour trek. You'll pass the 'last waterpoint' and cross the high plateau saddle between Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. By evening you'll reach Kibo Hut where you'll have an early dinner and get to bed soon after, since you're waking around 11pm to prepare for the summit push.

- Day 6
Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak and back to Horombo Hut
Your climb begins in the middle of the night when the frozen lava ash makes walking easier. You'll trek in darkness past Hans Meyer Cave at 5,220m, then reach Gilman's Point on the crater rim at 5,681m right at sunrise. Another 1 to 2 hours of trekking gets you to Uhuru Peak at 5,895m, the 'Roof of Africa.' After reaching the summit, you'll descend the same route as the ash thaws and terrain becomes softer. You'll rest at Kibo Hut before heading down to Horombo Hut by afternoon.

Horombo Hut to Arusha
The final descent takes you through heather and moor zones back to Mandara Hut where lunch is prepared. From there, you'll trek through the tropical rainforest for 6 to 7 hours until reaching the park gate. After thanking your mountain crew, you'll get transferred to Planet Lodge in Arusha where you can shower and celebrate your accomplishment. Dinner and overnight stay finish out your journey.
