- Day 1
Lake Nakuru National Park
You'll head out early for the drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, crossing the equator along the way. By lunchtime you'll arrive at the park and have a chance to eat before heading out on an afternoon game drive. The lake itself draws huge numbers of flamingos, and you'll also have opportunities to spot both black and white rhinos in the area around this alkaline lake.

Maasai Mara National Reserve
Start with an early morning drive heading toward Maasai Mara National Reserve, which sits at the northern edge of the Serengeti ecosystem. You'll arrive in time for lunch, and then after eating you'll get out on an afternoon game drive. Keep an eye out for wildebeest, zebras, and various predators as you move through the reserve.

Maasai Mara National Reserve
You've got two full days here with a flexible schedule and unlimited driving mileage, so you can really cover ground. After breakfast each morning, you'll do full day game drives with packed lunch provided in the field. The Big Five are all here, along with black-maned lions, cheetahs, and close to 500 different bird species to keep an eye out for.

Maasai Mara to Serengeti National Park
An early morning game drive gets your day started while you're still in Maasai Mara before you depart the reserve. After handling border procedures, you'll drive into Tanzania and head toward Serengeti National Park. It's a long driving day overall, but the game drives going in and out of both parks can be quite good for spotting wildlife.

Serengeti National Park
You're spending two full days in Serengeti with flexible scheduling and unlimited mileage to explore. The vast plains here hold over 2 million large animals like wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and major predators all moving around. You'll see close to 500 bird species throughout this massive ecosystem as you move around during your days.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Your day kicks off with a very early morning game drive before breakfast, which is when wildlife tends to be most active and you'll catch the African savannah sunrise. You'll head back to camp for brunch after that, then transfer over to Ngorongoro Crater. Once there, look for rare black rhinos and watch for the large bull elephants with impressive tusks that hang around the crater.

Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara National Park
You'll head down to the crater floor very early and spend the whole day viewing wildlife in this natural wonder. There's a picnic lunch stop near the hippo lake partway through, and you'll continue game driving in the afternoon. Later you'll drive back up and out of the crater, then transfer across the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park.

Landmarks/POIs Ngorongoro Crater Lake Manyara National Park - Day 10
Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast you'll spend a full day game driving through Lake Manyara and its lush acacia forest filled with giant fig and mahogany trees. The famous climbing lions are here along with flamingos and over 400 bird species, plus buffalo, giraffes, elephants, and hippos in good numbers. In the afternoon you'll transfer to Arusha or head to the airport for departure.
