- PTPeter· March 29th, 2025Good tour with nice people and a good guide. The age group was quite varied but the majority were from a slightly older demographic which was fine for us. It’s very clear in the description but very little is actually included other than transport and accommodation. There are plenty of optional activities but they are expensive. Accommodation in La Fortuna was a $50 motel, ok but not what we were expecting for a premium tour. Accommodation in Monteverde was lovely, maybe they spent all the money on that! Overall we enjoyed ourselves.Show more

Philomena· February 5th, 2025This was my 3rd tour with G Adventures. We were a small group of 10 + Luis, our tour guide. The lodge we stayed in at La Fortuna was not Magic Mountain but it did have its own hot springs, which was great. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t so my friend and I walked to a nearby Italian restaurant for a good meal. Mind you the roadways are poorly lit as sunset is about 5:30 PM. Luckily the restaurant’s van saw us about half way there, picked us up and later drove us back. So you can venture away from the lodge for meals. It took all the stress and worry out of planning and made it so that I could see and do more in Costa Rica during our time there. Having a local guide who was passionate about his country and culture definitely made it more enjoyable and it was an honor to learn and experience Costa Rica in that way. Could you help us arrange a private transport to the Pacific coast from where we will be on the 1st Feb? How many people are already scheduled to attend that tour, and what nationalities?

We currently only have two spaces left on the 27th January 2025 departure for Costa Rica: Monteverde and La Fortuna. These two spaces are also on request. It generally takes 3-5 business days to receive a response. If space is available, you will be booked and confirmed on the tour, if space is not available, then we can look at alternative tours, dates, or will issue a full refund. We recommend holding off on arranging flights and travel insurance until the trip is confirmed, as there are often cancellation/change penalties.

The cost of this package is $149 USD. It includes two activities: Canyoneering and Ziplining. Canyoneering is a 6-hour half-day activity in the rainforests around Arenal Volcano with transportation, lunch, equipment, and an English-speaking guide. Ziplining is a 3.5-hour activity offering a bird's-eye view of the rainforest canopy. Weight and height restrictions apply: Weight 45-100 kg, Height minimum 130 cm. Children under six cannot participate.
