- Dale· December 9th, 2023Overall the tour was good. We packed a lot into our days. Heavy culture focus which means you do see many palaces and temples, would be good to also include some tours of things like farming ventures, marble quarry, brick works, or give those options. Would be good to have had a couple of half day rest days. On arrival it would be good to receive a welcome pack that includes things like tipping- what's expected and some examples, culture etiquette, when to remove shoes, simple greetings or sayings, which monuments require passports. Accomodation highly variable, 3 stars is really basic ( standards of cleaning very variable) accomodation so we upgraded to 4 stars. Given the style of travel the driver is very important, ours was excellent. We were a bit surprised to have a few changes to our itinerary once we landed, eg we had 3 train journeys in 3 days. Bit more time in Varanasi would have been good. All in all a good way to start a trip to India.Show more
