  1. Day 1

    Casablanca to Fes

    You'll arrive at Casablanca Airport where your guide meets you for the drive to Fes. Once you get there, spend the afternoon walking around the Old City and checking out the ramparts, gates, and Borjs (Moorish Forts) from different viewpoints. Dinner happens back at your hotel.

  2. Day 2

    Fes

    This is a full day exploring Fes's medieval medina on foot through narrow streets. You'll see the King's Palace, walk through the 15th-century Jewish quarter with its synagogues and Rabbi mausoleums, then head up Merinides Hill for views over the city. The medina includes the tannery, Al Quarawiyyine Mosque University, Medersa Attarine, and Seffarine Square where metalworkers are at their craft. You'll have traditional mint tea at a local family home before heading back to your hotel.

  3. Day 3

    Fes to Imilchil

    After breakfast, you'll head over the Atlas Mountains and stop in Ifrane and Azrou cedar forests to look for wildlife. Lunch is a traditional Berber Tagine at Ksibah village, then you'll climb toward Lake Isli near Imilchil. An observation point overlooks the Emmshil lakes before you reach a local guesthouse in the mountains for the night and get to experience real Berber hospitality.

    Imilchil to Dades

    Start with a walking tour through village houses, then drive through streams and villages like Agdalakdim, Agoudal, and Iznagen. After lunch, you'll hike to Taadodete and cross Tizi Vano mountain pass with views of the landscape below. Later you'll descend into Hades Canyon for a short stream walk, then hike through dramatic rock formations of Tamellalt to reach Boumalene Dades. The day ends at your hotel in a small village surrounded by orchards.

    Tinghir to Zagora

    Following breakfast, you'll walk through scattered orchards before heading to the Jabal Sahro mountain range. At Nkob village you can see how juniper wood gets carved into dishes. You'll climb toward Tizi N'Tazazert Pass for views, continue to the pillars of Bab Ali and Tazzarine village, then follow the Draa River toward Zagora, the trading city at the Sahara's northern edge. Dinner and a guesthouse stay finish the day.

  6. Day 6

    M'Hamid Desert Camp

    Leaving M'Hamid early, you'll spend the day in the Sahara partly on Paris-Dakar Rally trails. Tamegrout is a typical Saharan village with a vast historical library from the Moorish Renaissance, and from there you'll drive through sandy desert to Foum Zguid meeting Tuareg nomads. Tea happens under nomadic tents at Um el Arg oasis. By afternoon you're at a desert camp near an oasis for lunch, exploring dunes on foot and climbing to watch the sunset before dinner under stars.

    M'Hamid to Ouarzazate

    You'll leave M'Hamid on back roads in 4WD Jeeps for a sandy Sahara trek. The route goes through flat sandy terrain of the Erike plains with remote oases and natural vistas along the way. You'll stop at Taznakht village, known for hand-woven rugs, then continue to Ouarzazate for the night.

    Ouarzazate to Marrakech

    After breakfast, you'll visit the well-preserved Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, then take back roads through one of Morocco's least visited regions. You'll explore silver mines and ancient landscapes on the way to the legendary Kasbah Glaoui of Telouate, an early 20th-century Moorish Palace built by Pasha Glaoui to control the Tishka high Atlas pass. A small white-painted village with a local saint's grave is next, then trekking to reach the artificial oasis of Marrakech. Dinner and lodging happen in a Riad near Jamaa el Fna square.

    Marrakech

    Your local guide takes you through Marrakech's historical sites. You'll see Menara, a pool built in 1866 with flowerbeds and the Atlas Mountains in the background that functions as a public park and oasis-like space. The Koutoubia Minaret (similar to La Giralda in Seville, Spain) comes next, along with the Saadien tombs showing 16th-century Moorish mausoleums, the Agdal gardens, and the Majorelle gardens. Return to your hotel for dinner.
