Itinerary
- Day 1
Colombo to Sigiriya
You'll arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo where you're greeted with a flower garland, then transfer to Sigiriya for check-in. The rest of the day is yours to settle in and relax at the hotel.
- Day 2
Mihintale
After breakfast, you'll take a 6-hour tour of the ancient capital Anuradhapura, visiting the Thuparamaya (the first dagaba built in Sri Lanka) and Lovamahapaya. From there, head to Mihintale mountain peak, believed to be where Buddhism was introduced to Sri Lanka. You'll return to Sigiriya for the night.

Polonnaruwa
Following breakfast, climb the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress (a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a massive rock column nearly 200 metres high). Afterward, visit the medieval capital of Polonnaruwa and walk through its well-preserved archaeological ruins. You're back at Sigiriya for the night.

Sigiriya to Kandy
After breakfast, you'll travel to Kandy on a 5-hour journey with stops at the Dambulla Rock Cave Temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site housing 153 Buddha statues), a spice garden, and a batik factory. Check in at your Kandy hotel, then catch a Kandyan dance performance in the evening and visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Dalada Maligawa).

Kandy
Start your day at the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Dalada Maligawa), one of Buddhism's most sacred places. Head to Kandy View Point for panoramic views of the surrounding area. Later, take a walk around Kandy Lake and spend some time shopping at Kandy City Center.

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens (known for orchids and over 4000 plant species). Then travel to Nuwara Eliya on a 5-hour drive, stopping at a tea factory along the way. Once you arrive, explore Victoria Park and Gregory Lake.

After breakfast, you'll depart for Tissamaharama on an 8-hour journey, stopping at the 26-foot Ravana waterfalls en route. Check in at your hotel, then head out mid-afternoon for a Jeep safari in Yala National Park to spot Sri Lankan elephants, leopards, and various bird species.

Tissamaharama to Mirissa
After breakfast, transfer to Mirissa on an 8-hour journey with stops at Hambantota Salterns and the stilt fishermen at Weligama. Later you'll visit the Galle Fort (the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers).

Mirissa
After breakfast, take a whale and dolphin watching tour starting around 7:00 am, typically lasting 3.5 to 4 hours. The warm waters around Mirissa are ideal for spotting blue whales, sperm whales, and various dolphin species. Spend the rest of the day relaxing at the beach.
