Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll land at Tribhuvan International Airport and connect with your Serene Himalaya representative who drives you to the hotel. After you get settled, take some time wandering around Thamel's streets if you want to pick up souvenirs. That evening, there's a welcome dinner featuring authentic Nepalese cuisine to kick things off.

- Day 2
Kathmandu
Following breakfast, join a guided tour hitting Kathmandu's major historical and spiritual spots. You'll see Durbar Square (a World Heritage site), Pashupatinath Temple, the Swayambhunath Monkey Temple, and Bouddhanath, one of the world's largest stupas. Around noon, you'll meet your trek leader and teammates for a pre-trip briefing to go over what's ahead. You stay in Kathmandu again overnight.

Kathmandu to Chamje
Head out early by road from Kathmandu to Chamje village in the Annapurna Region, sitting at 1,430 meters/4,691 feet elevation where your trek begins. You'll check out what Chamje has to offer including a waterfall and lush green surroundings that'll set a good tone for trekking. Overnight in Chamje.

Chamje to Dharapani
Your trek starts early, walking through vegetable plantations, past waterfalls, and across communities with Tibetan roots. You'll cross a suspension bridge below Chamje, climb through two steep sections reaching Tal village, then enter the Manang district. From there, the trail continues through Kodo village on a path that goes up and down across mountainsides until you reach Dharapani, a large village in Manang District. Overnight in Dharapani.

Landmarks/POIs Tal Kodo village - Day 5
Dharapani to Chame
Today involves trekking over several steep, forested ridges with some landslide areas to navigate. Keep your eyes up for views of Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, and Annapurna IV at 7,525 meters/24,688 feet. Along the way you'll find small hot springs where you can soak and relax a bit. Chame, your overnight stop, serves as the Manang District headquarters in northern Nepal.

Landmarks/POIs Lamjung Himal Annapurna II Annapurna IV - Day 6
Chame to Pisang
Continue trekking up and down, passing several rivers and small settlements with few residents. The trail narrows and climbs steeply through a valley where you'll see the dramatic Paungda Danda rock face rising 1,500 meters/4,921 feet from the river below. You get excellent views of Annapurna II to the south and Pisang Peak to the northeast before descending into Manang Valley. Overnight in Pisang.

Pisang to Manang
Trek from Pisang through Upper Pisang and Geru, where views of Mount Annapurna, Pisang Peak, and surrounding mountains are outstanding. As you head toward Manang, the climate noticeably shifts colder and drier. You'll stop at Barge Monastery, the largest in Manang District. Overnight in Manang.

Manang to Khangsar
From Manang, trek up to Khangsar village. The trail cuts down through a gorge with Tilicho Peak often shrouded in clouds above. You'll pass through small scenic settlements and Tore Monastery while taking in views of the Khangsar River and landscape around it. Overnight in Khangsar.

Khangsar to Tilicho Base Camp
Trek from Khangsar to Tilicho Lake Base Camp through wide grassy fields. After a short climb up a small hill, you'll see glorious valley views open up. Then comes a steep descent to reach Tilicho Base Camp where camping is your only accommodation option. Overnight at Tilicho Base Camp.

Tilicho Lake
After an initially tough ascent, traverse a moraine and cut along the mountainside with views of Tilicho, Nilgiri, Khangsar, and Muktinath peaks. You'll reach one of the world's highest lakes and see its turquoise waters and surrounding peak reflections (or ice if it's frozen). Spend time here taking in the scenery, then return to base camp for the night. Overnight at Tilicho Base Camp.

Landmarks/POIs Tilicho Lake Nilgiri Muktinath Peak - Day 11
Tilicho Base Camp to Yak Kharka
Trek back from Tilicho Base Camp as the trail exits the Marsyangdi valley and surroundings change noticeably with trees giving way to alpine vegetation. Pass through ruins of old Khangsar village and cross a log bridge over the river between Gumsang and Yak Kharka. You'll reach the typical Himalayan village of Yak Kharka where yaks roam freely, and views of Annapurna III are exceptional. Overnight in Yak Kharka.

Landmarks/POIs Annapurna III - Day 12
Yak Kharka to Thorang Phedi
Trek uphill from Yak Kharka to Thorang Phedi, crossing a suspension bridge and reaching Ledar village along the way. Continue climbing past towering cliffs to arrive at Thorang Phedi, the last village before Thorong La pass. Views here of Mount Gundang, Mount Syagang, Thorung Peak, and Mount Khatungkan are some of the best on the route. Overnight in Thorang Phedi.

Landmarks/POIs Mount Gundang Thorung Peak - Day 13
Thorang Phedi to Muktinath
Cross Thorong La pass, one of the world's highest passes, which is your main goal. You'll wake around 3 a.m. and begin walking up the mountain. Once at the top, take photos to mark the achievement before descending to Muktinath Valley at the pass's foot. This direction from east to west (Manang to Muktinath) is considered the easiest and safest. Overnight in Muktinath.

Landmarks/POIs Thorong La Pass - Day 14
Muktinath to Jomsom
Visit Muktinath Temple, the ultimate pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists, where fresh water streams down from spouts above the temple. Continue trekking with views of Mount Dhaulagiri and pick up a fossilized mollusk called 'Shaligram' as a souvenir if interested. Trek through meadows and cross streams to reach Kagbeni village with its chortens and monastery. After lunch, head to Jomsom in the Kali Gandaki Valley, hiking through windy sections. Overnight in Jomsom.

Jomsom to Pokhara
Fly to Pokhara after breakfast. The flight offers views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges plus the world's deepest gorge. Pokhara's warmer climate feels refreshing after trekking. Take a boat ride on the lake with Fishtail Mountain reflected in the water, or visit Davis Falls. Later, walk around the lakeside area and do some souvenir shopping. Overnight in Pokhara.

Pokhara to Kathmandu
Fly back to Kathmandu, Nepal's capital city. Rest at your hotel and keep the afternoon and early evening free. Later, attend a farewell dinner hosted by Alpine Club of Himalaya to celebrate finishing your trek. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Kathmandu Departure
Your tour representative picks you up about 3 hours before your scheduled flight departure and takes you to Tribhuvan International Airport. Have a safe journey home and start thinking about your next Nepal adventure.
