  1. Day 1

    Kathmandu

    You'll arrive at Kathmandu International Airport where a tour representative meets you. After checking in at your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to wander around this historic city at your own pace. It's a good chance to get oriented and shake off travel fatigue.

  2. Day 2

    Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding

    An early morning flight takes you from Kathmandu to Lukla, then you'll start trekking through Sherpa villages like Chheplung, Ghat, and Sano Gumela. Along the way, you'll pass by sacred sites including Drangdrak Gompa and Pema Choling Gompa with views of peaks like Kumbila and Kusum Kanguru before arriving in Phakding.

  3. Day 3

    Phakding to Namche Bazar

    You'll trek through hamlets of Zamphute and Tok Tok with Thamserku in view, then pass through Sherpa villages of Benkar, Chumoa and Monjo. After visiting Utche Choling Gompa, you enter Sagarmatha National Park. A steep climb with a high bridge crossing the Dudhkoshi River gorge brings you to Namche Bazar, where you'll see Mt. Everest for the first time.

    Namche Bazar Acclimatization

    Today's an acclimatization day in Namche Bazar. You can take short walks or climb a few hundred feet to explore villages and terraced fields with mountain views. A visit to Khumjung village and Khumjung Gompa in a cedar grove is on the agenda, plus you'll check out the Hillary School. Lunch at Everest View Hotel gives you views of Everest, Lhotse and surrounding peaks.

  5. Day 5

    Namche Bazar to Tengboche

    An easy ridge trail starts from Chhorkung with viewpoints overlooking peaks all the way from Thamserku to Everest. You'll pass through Kyangjuma and Sanasa, then descend through Lawichasa and Tashinga. After crossing stone steps and a bridge, you'll trek through rhododendron forests where you might spot musk deer and Himalayan tahr before reaching Tengboche village and its famous monastery.

  6. Day 6

    Tengboche to Dingboche

    You'll trek through conifer and rhododendron forests to Debuche, visiting Debuche Gompa to see old thangkas and murals, plus the Buddhist nunnery. A suspension bridge crosses the Imja Khola past a white stupa with Buddhist eyes. From there, Pangboche village and its oldest Khumbu monastery come into view. Alpine terrain with yak pastures follows as you head to Dingboche, a high-altitude settlement that's cold and windy.

    Dingboche Acclimatization

    This acclimatization day includes a 400-meter climb to Nangkartsang Gompa on the ridge north of Dingboche. From up there, you'll see three of the world's six highest peaks: Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyu. After reaching Nangkartsang summit for close-up mountain views, you'll head back downhill to Dingboche for the evening.

    Dingboche to Dughla

    Trekking in the heart of the Himalayas, you'll climb slowly along a ridge through the village of Dusa with views of twin peaks Taboche and Cholatse. Ama Dablam appears as a perfect pyramid ahead. You'll descend to a glacial stream and climb to Dughla with outstanding mountain views surrounding you on all sides.

  9. Day 9

    Dughla to Lobuche

    You'll climb the gravelly terminal moraine of Khumbu Glacier to Chupki Lhara, where stone heaps with prayer flags commemorate mountaineers who died attempting Everest. From high trails, you can see Chola Lake's blue waters. Three peaks (Khumbutse, Lingtren and Pumori) stand straight ahead before you walk along a murmuring stream to reach Lobuche.

    Lobuche to Gorak Shep and Everest Base Camp

    This is a long, challenging day with grassy terrain and scattered boulders. You'll ascend 60 meters to the lateral moraine wall of Changri Glacier at Thangma Riju for 360-degree mountain views. After crossing the Changri moraine, a steep climb brings you to Gorak Shep where Kala Patthar comes into view. Through glaciers, icefalls and frozen pools, you'll reach Everest Base Camp, then descend back to Gorak Shep.

    Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar and Pheriche

    The trek's climax starts after an early breakfast. You'll cross the sandy bed of a dried-up lake with steep zigzags, gaining 100 meters and seeing Lingtren, Khumbutse and Changtse. Through forests with views of Khumbu Glacier and the Nuptse massif, you'll reach Kala Patthar's rocky viewpoint for incredible Himalayan views. After, you'll descend quickly through Gorak Shep and Lobuche, then down to Pheriche.

    Pheriche to Namche Bazar

    From Pheriche, you'll descend crossing the Khumbu Khola bridge with great mountain views ahead. Retracing your route through Tsuro Wog, Orsho, Shomare and upper Pangboche, you'll reach beautiful Tengboche with its largest Khumbu gompa. After passing through Phunki Tenga, Sanasa and Kyangjuma, you're back in Namche Bazar.

    Namche Bazar to Lukla

    Lukla to Kathmandu

    EBC tour was great. Sabita was always available to us throughout the tour whenever we needed anything. Our guide Tshiring was excellent throughout the 12 day trek. We would have not completed the trek to EBC without his help and support. I would highly recommend female guide to anyone doing the EBC trek.

    • For any tour departing before December 31st, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after December 31st, 2025, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Female Guide Holiday. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
