Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Kathmandu

    You'll arrive at Kathmandu International Airport where your representative meets you for the transfer to your hotel. The afternoon and evening are yours to wander around this historic city at your own pace. It's a good chance to get acclimated and explore the neighborhoods, shops, and local spots on foot.

  2. Day 2

    Kathmandu to Lukla to Upper Phakding

    An early morning flight takes you from Kathmandu to Lukla, and from there you start trekking through Sherpa villages and past monasteries. The trail offers views of sacred mountains including Kumbila and Kusum Kanguru peaks. You'll reach Upper Phakding by the end of the day, so it's a moderate introduction to the trek ahead.

  3. Day 3

    Upper Phakding to Namche Bazar

    You'll trek through scenic Sherpa villages and enter Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The second half gets steeper as you cross a high bridge over the Dudhkoshi River gorge. By evening you're at Namche Bazar with views of Mt. Everest coming into sight, so there's real excitement building now.

  4. Day 4

    Namche Bazar to Tengboche

    Starting from Namche, the trail follows scenic ridge paths with panoramic views of Thamserku, Ama Dablam, Lhotse and Everest. You'll walk through alpine forests of rhododendrons, then descend to Phunki Thenga before climbing up to Tengboche monastery. The views throughout the day are really something.

  5. Day 5

    Tengboche to Dingboche

    The trek takes you through conifer and rhododendron forests as you visit Debuche Gompa and its Buddhist nunnery. After crossing a suspension bridge over Imja Khola, you'll stop at Pangboche, home to the oldest monastery in Khumbu. The route then heads through alpine terrain to reach Dingboche for the night.

  6. Day 6

    Dingboche to Lobuche

    You'll trek through high Himalayan landscape past Dughla, which has memorials to mountaineers who perished on Everest expeditions. The trail passes Chola Lake and follows Khumbu glacier moraine with views of Khumbutse, Lingtren and Pumori peaks before reaching Lobuche.

  7. Day 7

    Lobuche to Everest Base Camp to Gorak Shep

    This is a long and challenging day. You'll trek up the lateral moraine wall of Changri glacier to Thangma Riju, where you get 360-degree mountain panorama. After crossing glaciers, icefalls and frozen pools, you'll finally reach Everest Base Camp. You return to Gorak Shep for the overnight stay.

  8. Day 8

    Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar to Pheriche

    The trek climax arrives as you head to the rocky viewpoint of Kala Patthar for unobstructed views of Mt. Everest and the surrounding Himalayan panorama. After taking in those views, you'll head downhill and retrace through Gorak Shep and Lobuche, then descend to Pheriche.

    Pheriche to Namche Bazar

    Now you begin the descent, retracing your route back down the valley. The trek takes you through Tsuro Wog, Orsho, Shomare, and upper Pangboche with great mountain views. You'll return to Tengboche with its large monastery, then descend through Phunki Tenga, Sanasa and Kyangjuma to reach Namche Bazar.

    Your final trekking day follows the Dudh Kosi river down to Lukla, retracing the route from the second day. It's mostly downhill, which feels good after the higher altitude days, and the trek ends at Lukla.

  11. Day 11

    Lukla to Kathmandu

    You'll fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for shopping and picking up gifts and souvenirs. By evening, you'll join a farewell dinner where you can review photos and share experiences from the trek with your group.

  12. Day 12

    Kathmandu Departure

    You have leisure time before your departure flight. Your representative will handle your transfer to the airport. If you're interested, there's the option to extend your stay with things like national park game drives, rafting, mountain biking, or visits to Tibet, India or Bhutan.

    Excellent service from arrival to flight to Lukla and return from trek. My guide was terrific and did everything he could do for me reach my goal. My Kathmandu tour guide was perhaps the best guide I’ve ever had. He became a good friend who I stay in contact with.

    EBC tour was great. Sabita was always available to us throughout the tour whenever we needed anything. Our guide Tshiring was excellent throughout the 12 day trek. We would have not completed the trek to EBC without his help and support. I would highly recommend female guide to anyone doing the EBC trek.

  • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before February 14th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 14th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Female Guide Holiday. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
