Itinerary
- Day 1
El Calafate to El Chaltén
You'll get picked up from your hotel in El Calafate early in the morning for a 3-hour drive to El Chaltén. The route takes you past Lake Argentino and along views of Viedma Glacier, so there's plenty to see from the vehicle. You'll stop at Parador La Leona to check out the museum and grab coffee before heading to your accommodation. Once you're settled, you'll hike to Laguna Capri during the golden hour to catch the sunset over Mount Fitz Roy. Bring an appetite because you'll have Argentine snacks and try traditional mate while watching the light change on the mountain.

Lago del Desierto and Vespignani Glacier
This is a full day at Lago del Desierto starting with a 37 km drive on a gravel road beside Río de las Vueltas. You'll stop at several panoramic viewpoints to take photos along the way. From there, you'll board a boat for a 30-minute crossing where you can see Huemul and Crestón Glaciers from the water. After landing near Vespignani Glacier, you'll hike marked trails for about 4 hours with a guide leading the way for safety. The trails vary in difficulty, so there's something for different fitness levels. You'll return by boat and then bus back to El Chaltén.

El Chaltén Free Day
You have the day to yourself in El Chaltén and can choose how to spend it. If you want a serious challenge, hike to Laguna de los Tres or Cerro Torre for views from higher elevations. Prefer something shorter and less demanding? Head to Chorrillo del Salto waterfall or the Los Cóndores and Las Águilas viewpoints instead. All the trails here show off Patagonian landscape, and you can set your own pace since there's no organized activity scheduled.

El Chaltén to El Calafate
In the afternoon, you'll transfer back to El Calafate from El Chaltén. You can arrange to be dropped at your hotel, the bus station, or the airport depending on your plans. After you arrive, the rest of your day is free to relax or handle any final business. This marks the end of your tour services.
