Itinerary
- Day 1
Vientiane
You'll arrive at Wattay Airport and head to your hotel in central Vientiane. Once you've settled in, spend the afternoon walking through the capital's main temples. Wat Sisaket has thousands of small Buddha statues throughout its grounds, and Wat Prakeo, the former royal temple, shows the city's religious heritage. Before the day ends, check out That Luang Stupa and grab photos at Patuxay Monument, which locals call Vientiane's own Arc de Triomphe.

- Day 2
Vientiane to Vang Vieng
After breakfast, you'll head north on Route 13 through countryside toward the mountains. The drive takes you through some nice rural landscape. Stop at Vang Xang, an 11th-century archaeological site, to look around. Later you'll reach Vang Vieng and explore Tham Jang caves, then trek through the mountains to Tam None Cave and visit some hill villages. By evening, you'll have sunset views over the Nam Song River.

- Day 3
Vang Vieng
Starting after breakfast, you'll drive through paddy fields to Tham Phoukham caves. The limestone cavern sits surrounded by natural forest. You can spend time with local villagers and see how they live day to day. There's a natural pool in front of the caves if you want to swim, or you can explore the surrounding area. Lunch is a picnic with views overlooking the landscape. Afterward, head back to Vang Vieng and visit Hmong, Souay, and Taidam hill tribe villages to meet locals and see their traditional clothing.

- Day 4
Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang
You'll leave early heading north on Route 13 toward Luang Prabang, which has some of Southeast Asia's best-preserved traditional architecture. The drive takes you through nice landscape with terraced fields and hill villages. Stop along the way at small villages to photograph the scenery and see how people live. Before arriving in Luang Prabang, you'll visit Muang Xieng Nguen village to observe local daily life.

- Day 5
Luang Prabang
You'll start with a guided tour of Wat Sene, the city's oldest temple, then see Wat Xieng Thong with its 'tree of life' mosaic in colored glass and traditional Laotian architecture. Later you'll cruise upstream on the Mekong River to see the quiet countryside. The trip includes a stop at Pak Ou Caves, where thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues sit in the chambers. You'll also visit Ban Xang Hai village, famous for making Lao rice wine, and Ban Phanom village where weavers make fabric by hand.

Luang Prabang
Before leaving, visit the National Museum in the former Royal Palace to see items related to Lao culture and history from early kingdoms through the last sovereign. After that, browse the Central Market. Then you'll head to the airport for your departure.
