Rachel Lynn· April 21st, 2022For $750 for effecively 3 days max this was not a great value. The local operator's workers were pretty nice but they tried to place us in a 2* hotel. After sorting that and moving to the property where we were meant to stay we were told there would be yet another change (we spent one night there and were moved due to an apparent wedding taking up the whole building - wait, I thought I booked this hotel?( and we were moved on the second night to an apartment hotel that was bare bones, basic and unfriendly. Galapagos is beautiful but 3 quick excursions between two islands with 5 hours of bumpy ferry rides is not a good value for the money. Marcos and his team, Juan etc are nice but it's really not the way you want to spend your $ in the Galapagos. Take a cruise that includes meals and see more places. The breakfasts were not great, the lunches were better and dinner was not included. That said, Puerto Ayora is a cute little town, a little disheveled but also quite chill. A good jumping off point for the exploration of the Galapagos, you can probably do this on your own much cheaper. Again if transfers and convenience are what you want it's all organized, but not amazing by any means.Show more
