Itinerary
- Day 1
Ho Chi Minh City
You'll arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to your hotel to check in for a two-night stay. The rest of the day is yours to settle in and get oriented, whether that means resting at the hotel or taking a walk around the neighborhood to get a feel for the city.

- Day 2
Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast, join a guided tour through the city's colonial architecture including City Hall, the Opera House, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, and Reunification Palace. Then head to Ben Thanh Market in Chinatown to browse souvenirs and stop by a lacquer factory. You'll have free time to walk along Dong Khoi Street or explore on your own before heading to dinner at a local restaurant.

Ho Chi Minh City to Mỹ Tho
After breakfast, check out and travel to My Tho with a stop at the Cu Chi Tunnels to learn about the underground network used by the Viet Cong during the war as supply routes, hospitals, and living quarters. Later you'll board your river cruise ship and begin sailing along the Mekong River.

Mekong Delta
Visit Cai Be village to watch local workers make rice noodles, coconut candy, and other handmade products. In the afternoon, take a sampan through the Mekong Delta canals and backwaters, visiting a brick factory and the home of Mr. Huynh Thuy Le in Sa Dec. That evening, there's a screening of the film l'Amant onboard.

Tân Châu to Cambodia
Start the morning with a traditional rickshaw ride in Tan Chau, then take a wooden sampan to a floating fish farm and visit Vinh Hoa (Evergreen Island) to see traditional Vietnamese farming and local crafts. After lunch and scenic cruising, you'll cross into Cambodia this afternoon. Onboard activities include a fruit-carving workshop and a presentation on Vietnam's history, followed by a screening of The Killing Fields.

You'll dock in Cambodia's capital and explore by cyclo (a passenger bicycle). Visit the Royal Palace with its 19th-century Silver Pagoda and the National Museum of Cambodia with its Khmer art and craftsmanship treasures. This afternoon you can either join an excursion to Tuol Sleng detention center and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, or explore the city's markets and streets on your own. Dinner is onboard followed by a folkloric performance.

Cambodian Villages and Phnom Penh
In the morning, visit a Cambodian village and then travel to Udon Monastery for a tour and blessing from the monks. Continue to a village known for its silversmiths before rejoining the ship for lunch as you cruise toward Phnom Penh. Your afternoon is free to walk the historic riverfront, check out markets, or visit monastery temples. There's an onboard presentation about recent Cambodian history before dinner.

Mekong River Cruise
Cruise along the Mekong River with views of rice fields that feed the region. Stop at a typical Khmer river community famous for silk-weaving production. After lunch onboard, attend a lecture about life along the Mekong. This evening, watch a screening of The History of Angkor Wat.

Disembark from your cruise this morning in Kampong Thom and travel through the Cambodian countryside to Siem Reap, checking into your hotel for a three-night stay. Spend the afternoon relaxing or using the hotel's facilities. This evening, dinner comes with a traditional Apsara dance show.

- Day 11
Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom
Visit Angkor Wat, one of Angkor's largest temples built in the 12th century, famous for its beautiful proportions and intricate stone carvings. Then explore the fortified city of Angkor Thom, which contains the dramatic bas-reliefs of the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.

- Day 12
Ta Prohm and Banteay Srey
Head to Ta Prohm, one of Angkor's most popular temples, which sits largely untouched since its discovery. Continue to the 10th-century Hindu temple Banteay Srey to see its magnificent carvings of Shiva and Vishnu. This afternoon, visit an elementary school sponsored by Viking and spend time with the children. In the evening, have dinner at a local restaurant followed by a show at the Cambodian Circus.

Hanoi
Take a leisurely tour of Hanoi, this thousand-year-old capital, traveling by electric car through the Old Quarter to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum where Vietnam's revolutionary leader is buried. Tour the Hoa Lo Prison where American POWs were held. After lunch, visit the Museum of Ethnology featuring Vietnam's history and diverse culture, then the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university from 1070. Continue to the One Pillar Pagoda from the 11th century, passing colonial landmarks like the Opera House and St. Joseph's Cathedral. End with a festive farewell dinner.
