Itinerary
- Day 1
Nairobi to Samburu
Your guide picks you up from the hotel and drives north past Mt. Kenya toward Samburu Game Reserve. You'll cross the Equator on the way and should arrive by lunchtime. After eating at the lodge, the afternoon game drive starts at 4pm where you might see the first wildlife. That evening you'll have dinner and stay overnight by the Ewaso Nyiro River.

Samburu
This is a full day in Samburu Game Reserve with back-to-back game drives. The landscape here is different from other Kenyan parks, and you'll have chances to spot leopard, hippo, elephant, and reticulated giraffe along with Grevy zebra and crocodile in the river. Over 365 bird species show up here too. Dinner and another night at the lodge.

Samburu to Lake Nakuru
After the morning game drive, you head out with picnic lunches packed. The drive south takes you through Thomson Falls and past the Subukia Escarpment viewpoint where you'll stop for lunch and take in the views. Then it's on to Lake Nakuru National Park for the evening. You'll stay overnight at the lodge there.

Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara
An early game drive happens before breakfast at your lodge. After eating, you drive to Maasai Mara, arriving around lunchtime. The afternoon brings your first Mara game drive across the 1,510 square kilometers of open savannah with its acacia trees and the Siria Escarpment in the distance. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Maasai Mara
Today is all about game viewing in Maasai Mara. The park's grasslands and rolling hills are home to large herds of plains game, black-maned lions, leopard, cheetah, and many other species. You'll have opportunities to see the big five and countless others throughout the day. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Maasai Mara to Naivasha
An early morning game drive is followed by breakfast at the lodge. Later you drive to Narok where there's time to shop for Maasai souvenirs if you'd like. From there, continue to Naivasha for the evening and stay overnight at a resort right by the lake.

Naivasha to Amboseli
After breakfast, the drive heads south toward Amboseli National Park and crosses into Tanzania briefly, though the park itself stays on the Kenya side so no visa is needed. You'll do a game drive on the way to your campsite and arrive in the late evening. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Landmarks Lake Naivasha Amboseli National Park - Day 9
Amboseli
A full day in Amboseli with early morning and afternoon game drives. The swampland here stays green from Mt. Kilimanjaro's runoff, creating a lush area against the dusty plains around it. Lions, cheetahs, buffalo, and Masai giraffes are commonly seen here. Early morning is best for viewing Mt. Kilimanjaro. After breakfast you drive to Tsavo West with a game drive along the way, arriving by lunchtime. The afternoon includes a game drive and visit to the rhino sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Tsavo West to Nairobi
Morning breakfast happens at the lodge, then you do one final game drive as you exit the national park. You'll arrive back in Nairobi around late lunch time. After eating, your guide drives you to the airport for your next destination or back to your hotel.
