Itinerary
- Day 1
Puerto Natales to Torres del Paine
You'll leave Puerto Natales early in the morning by bus, heading toward Torres del Paine National Park for about 2 hours. Once you arrive at Laguna Amarga, you'll take a catamaran across Lake Pehoe before starting a 4-hour hike through forest and along the lakeshore. After roughly 2 hours on the trail, Glacier Grey comes into view. The hike continues for another 2 hours until you reach Camp Grey, where you'll settle in for the night. Temperature around 50-55°F/10-13°C.

Torres del Paine
Following breakfast at camp, you have the option to venture out with a day pack for closer glacier views and to cross one of the park's suspension bridges. After you head back to Camp Grey and collect your gear, it's a 4-hour hike back to Paine Grande (11 kilometers/6.8 miles). From there you'll make camp along the shore of Lake Pehoe. Pack extra layers as weather can shift quickly in the afternoon. Temperature around 50-58°F/10-14°C.

Torres del Paine to Puerto Natales
After breakfast, you'll hike for 2.5 hours toward Campamento Italiano, crossing a moraine and walking through forest until the trees open to a clearing. That's where the views hit—you can see Lake Nordenskjold, Skottberg, Lake Pehoe, and French Glacier all at once. You'll head back down to Paine Grande and board a catamaran across Lake Pehoe, then catch a bus and shuttle to Camping Central for the night. Temperature around 48-57°F/9-14°C.

Torres del Paine to Puerto Natales
Starting after breakfast, you climb Almirante Nieto mountain with views of Lake Nordenskjold and Asencio Valley below. After 2 hours you'll reach Refugio & Camping Chileno for lunch. Then it's another hour through dense Lenga forest before you approach a moraine and make the final climb to Las Torres, those 9,000-foot granite peaks. After taking in the scenery, you hike back down through Asencio Valley to Camping Torre Central. A shuttle and bus take you back to Puerto Natales by evening. Temperature around 45-55°F/7-13°C.
