Asked on June 18th, 2023Do we have to carry our luggage for the trek? Are there helpers?
- Intrepid TravelOperator•Written June 2023
You will be expected to carry your own luggage, including moving about busy public transport hubs, up stairs and escalators and on and off buses and trains. Although you won't be required to walk long distances, you are expected to be able to walk and handle your own luggage for up to 30 minutes. In some locations it may be possible to hire porters at extra expense paid locally. You can ask your trip leader for help to arrange this if possible but be prepared to manage your own luggage.

Traveler•Written June 2023Would you be able to arrange a porter for the trek.
- Intrepid TravelOperator•Written June 2023
You can skip that 3hrs trek and stay at the accommodation from the previous night. Our local supplier will be able to take care of you. The next day after trekking, the group will return to this accommodation and join with you again.

Asked on April 19th, 2023I am trying to look at flights for this from Victoria, BC to Vancouver BC, to Beijing but I cannot find any direct flights to Beijing. I heard it's because there is a direct flight ban to Beijing. Can you help with planning transportation to Beijing? It would be helpful to know what is the best airport to land in China and see if there is any way to get transportation to Beijing via bus or rail
- Intrepid TravelOperator•Written April 2023
Intrepid Travel is not able to book flights but we do have a helpful place to search flight prices and book your flights. If you are ready to book please select the 'book now' button located on the left-hand side to secure your spot on China Experience.

Asked on February 28th, 2023Where do I get a visa to China?
- Intrepid TravelOperator•Written February 2023
Most nationalities require a visa for mainland China. You must obtain your Chinese visa in advance. It is not possible to get a visa on arrival, and Chinese visas can be difficult to obtain outside your country of residence. You will need a Single Entry Tourist for this trip valid for 30 days. Please check with your country's China consulate or embassy for visa application information.
