- Day 1
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Leave Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park for your first game drive. The open plains and riverine forests here are home to giraffes, zebras, and lots of bird species. You'll end the day settling into a lodge or camp near the park.

Landmarks Tarangire National Park - Day 2
Tarangire National Park to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, head from Tarangire toward Central Serengeti, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the way. By afternoon you'll be out on a game drive across the vast plains, looking for lions, cheetahs, and wildebeest. Sleep overnight at a lodge or camp in Central Serengeti.

- Day 3
Central Serengeti
Spend the whole day exploring Central Serengeti's endless plains and rocky kopjes. Game drives bring you up close to lions, leopards, zebras, buffalo, and elephants. You'll have plenty of time to photograph wildlife against the savannah before heading back to camp.

Landmarks Serengeti National Park - Day 4
Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro or Karatu
Start with a morning game drive in Central Serengeti, then transfer to Ngorongoro or Karatu through scenic highlands and villages. Once you reach your lodge, you'll have time to relax and prepare for the crater safari coming up tomorrow.

Landmarks Serengeti National Park Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater Safari to Arusha
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a five-hour safari through this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater floor holds high concentrations of elephants, hippos, lions, and possibly black rhinos, spread across lakes, grasslands, and forests. After the safari, you'll begin the drive back to Arusha.
