Itinerary
- Day 1
Negombo
Your Sri Lankan representative meets you at Bandaranaike International Airport and drives you to your boutique hotel in Negombo, about 20 minutes from the airport. After checking in and resting from your flight, you can explore the city in the evening. There's fresh seafood and local beers to try at restaurants near the water, or you might prefer relaxing at your hotel with views over Negombo Lagoon.

Negombo to Sigiriya
From Negombo, you head through the countryside toward the Cultural Triangle, passing paddy fields and man-made reservoirs. The first stop is Yapahuwa Kingdom, a 13th-century capital built on a rock mountain that resembles Sigiriya. Then you continue to Sigiriya and check into your eco-resort surrounded by lush greenery and forest areas.

Sigiriya
Early in the day you cycle through rural backroads around Habarana to see how local village life works. You stop at a farmer's home for tea and Sri Lankan snacks, then have lunch with authentic village food that the farmer prepares. There's an option to join a cooking session if you're interested. Later in the afternoon, you head to Polonnaruwa to walk through historical temples, tombs, statues, and stupas before returning to your nature resort.

Sigiriya to Kandy
After breakfast you start climbing Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site with ancient history throughout. At the top, you refresh yourself with a King Coconut before traveling to Kandy. Once there, you explore the city on foot, checking out gem museums, souvenir shops, and batik factories. In the evening you check into your unique accommodation surrounded by a tea plantation.

Kandy
This morning you have time to enjoy the natural surroundings of your tea plantation property. In the afternoon, you visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of Buddhism's most sacred sites and an important pilgrimage location. Later that evening, you watch a traditional cultural show that features Sri Lankan dance and heritage performances.

Kandy to Ella
You board one of Sri Lanka's most scenic train rides from Kandy to Ella, traveling through tea plantations and mountains in the hill country. As the train climbs higher, the landscape transforms and the temperature drops noticeably. When you arrive in Ella, you check into one of Sri Lanka's most unique luxury hotels in the area.

Ella
Early on you trek to Little Adam's Peak and then visit Ella Gap for panoramic views of the surrounding hills. After that, you explore the Nine Arch Bridge, an iconic railway viaduct in the region. The rest of your time is free to wander around Ella on your own and get a feel for this charming hill country town.

Ella to Yala
Following breakfast on the hills, you travel to Yala and check into your tented lodge. After settling in, you head out in the afternoon for your first game drive at Yala National Park, one of Sri Lanka's most famous parks where you have chances to spot leopards along with other wildlife species.

Yala
After breakfast you have the day to yourself, or you can take a stroll around the lodge grounds if you prefer. In the evening, you head out again for another jeep safari at Yala National Park to continue searching for leopards and seeing other wildlife.

Yala to Galle
You travel to the west coast of Sri Lanka where you can relax on white sandy beaches. After checking into your beach villa in Galle, you have the rest of the day to settle in and unwind.

You spend the entire day relaxing on the beach or exploring the Galle Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site with colonial buildings and boutique cafes throughout. Wander through the historic fort at your own pace and soak in the coastal atmosphere.
