Follow part of the Via Dolorosa to reach the Holy Sepulchre. Later, head to Bethlehem to visit the Church of St. Catherine, walk through Manger Square, and see the Church of the Nativity. This is a full day with lots of ground to cover, so you'll want to pace yourself and grab lunch somewhere along the way.

I would not suggest this tour or going to Bethlehem! We had to transfer from a good quality bus (used from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem) to a rundown bus. The tour guide for Bethlehem told off color jokes no one appreciated. It was like he did not take his job seriously. They took us to lunch at a cafeteria for 70 shekels which was ridiculous. The worst part of all was the “Christian shop “ at the end of the tour. Once we left the shop there was a guy (grifter) outside. He shoved what he said we’re gifts into our hands and bag. It took a second to understand what was going on. Give you a gift then ask for money. He blocked out way to the bus and kept asking “come on buddy one more for my kids…..you don’t want me to lose do you”. Once we pushed past and got on the bus he followed us and was harassing all the tourists asking for money. The guide allowed this to happen which can old make you believe this is part of their process to take money from tourists. The company guided tourists into a dangerous situation where people targeted them and tried to intimidate them into giving money. In a response to my review on another site this company stated they didn't feel they deserved the rating because of some person harassing us. On the contrary the company was responsible for taking us to that place. They take people there every day and they know this happens and they do nothing to protect their customers. They are 100% responsible for this rating. My advice: 1. If you go do not get off the bus at the shop. You can get everything you want cheaper elsewhere. Nothing special that you can’t get anywhere else cheaper. 2. When leaving if anybody tries to hand you anything you did not pay for do not take it or give it back. If they shove it in your bag take it out and give it back. 3. If they ask for money say NO and push your way past whoever it is, they will try to block you, and get back on the bus. If you give them a single dime they will continue to ask for more. And now for the Good part The Bus from Tel Aviv and for Jerusalem was nice. The tour guide in Jerusalem (Avi) was very good and professional. He showed us everything with great detail and comments. We saw what we wanted to see in Jerusalem. I liked that our primary tour guide.

My Grandfather has a hard time walking. Is this tour fit for him?

    Tour Details
    • Bein Harim Tourism Services OperatorWritten June 2022

All tours include walking and you must be able to keep the group pace. Also, Jerusalem tours include a few hours of walking so it may be difficult for your grandfather to keep up with the group, regrettably.
