All in all, this was a good experience! We enjoyed the people and places we visited. There were no major issues, and it will be a trip that we will remember forever. As good of a trip as it was, I do believe there is room for improvement. There were three concerns that I would like to share. The first concern, had to do with the tour in Santorini. As beautiful, exciting, and enjoyable it was to visit Athens and Mykonos, Santorini was the primary place my wife wanted to see. It was the pictures of Eiya listed in the brochure of this tour that really made my wife excited about this trip. When we arrived in Santorini and spoke with the local point of contact, we were very disappointed to learn that Eiya was not included in the tour of Santorini. We were able to visit this town but we had to manage to find our own way. Displaying the pictures of Eiya in the brochure and not including this town as a destination within the tour seems to be misleading and gave us a sense of 'false advertising.' The second concern is related to the hotels that we had stayed at. We stayed at the Pan Hotel in Athens, Pelican Bay in Mykonos, and the 'upgrade' Aegean Hotel in Santorini. The Pan hotel was fine. It was small but everything worked, the staff were friendly, and the location was great. Pelican Bay was very nice as well. The only issue we had was related to the shower backing up into the water closet. This was annoying but bearable since it was such a beautiful hotel, great staff who were very helpful, and a good location. The Aegean Hotel was very beautiful. We did not swim at the hotel, but the four pools were very nice, the hotel was very, very clean. We did, unfortunately, find the front desk staff to be somewhat rood and short with us (very different from the other hotels). In addition, the bathroom was very in need of updating. The faucets were old, the mirror marked up, and the shower in our room was so small we ended up using the showers in the gym area which was somewhat inconvenient. The location was okay, but right across the street was an eye sore with what we assumed to be some sort of slowwww construction project. We truly struggled to see the 'upgrade' here. Or was the initial hotel that we were initially supposed to stay at even worse??? The third concern is probably something I would say is more of a lack of understanding on our part. When we signed up for this tour, we saw the 'semi-private' reference in the title but did not fully understand what this meant. It was through some inquiries prior to our departure that it became clear that we were not traveling with a group of people for the duration of the tour. This actually worked out better for us since we were traveling with another couple. We fully enjoyed the semi-private nature of the tour. The only reason I bring this topic up is to provide a suggestion. I believe we are not the only ones to not understand what the semi-private term may mean when it comes to a tour. I would suggest this be fully explained in the brochure (and if it is and I missed it...my apologies). As I had mentioned, this worked out very well for us...we enjoyed it. As we discussed this topic though, we would've been very disappointed if we had selected this tour with the expectation of joining a group of other people. Hope this makes sense. That is my review of our tour. I hope you find it useful. If there are any follow up questions, please feel free to reach out. Bob Basile

The tour was good in general. I would've been helpful to be made aware prior to the trip that if ferries were canceled due to weather conditions that the only other option would be to fly. We weren't expecting this additional cost while on the trip. Also, the Acropolis tour should take place prior to the museum tour. We toured the museum first then hiked up to the Acropolis and it was quite hot by that time and very crowded.

My thoughts were when I signed up for it. I would be going on a tour with other people I got picked up airport to the first destination. The next day we had a couple of hours for a tour. Then the rest was on your own for two days . I had a transfer from the hotel to the next destination, which was Mykonos. I was met at the water taxi with another guide who was helpful. I had the day free and the next day we had a couple hours of a tour. Tour supposed to be half day. A little disappointing since I spent that day and the next couple of days in Mykonos looking around by myself. Our Tour helps us get on the ferry boat again to the next island. Waters are rough people are getting sick and it’s unclear as to what water taxi we should take Because it’s in Greek. I arrived in Santorini. I went on a tour that was fabulous. And then had a couple days to myself to look around. I then had to go from Santorini on a water taxi back to Athens to get my flight. It was a long way. Seven hours on water taxi in a seat. I feel a little disenchanted because one tour was wonderful. The other two were so so. My thoughts were it was a small group myself and a family who. I think I prefer to be on a guided tour. With less time in a water taxi and also more hours for a guide to show us the islands.

This tour was everything i hoped for. Well-ofganized, stress free, and full of unforgettable views. The hotels were clean, central and had amazing service. I especially loved the guided tour in Santorini and the flexibiliyy to explore Mykonos on our own. Travel zone's team was responsive and helpful every step of the way. Highly recommend for first time travelers to Greece!

Dilimar was fantastic to deal with. This trip was booked on Saturday and we left on Monday. Despite it being so last minute there were no issues at all. I can't thank Dilimar enough... she was super organized and patient with us. Our drivers, tour guides, etc were all great and super knowledgeable. The only negative I can say is that their premium hotels (we upgraded) are not the same as what we would consider a 4 star in Canada. BUT the hotels were clean and safe and the staff in each were amazing. The El Greco in Santorini was the only hotel that I would have considered premium. Our stay in Mykonos had us staying at the Rhenia hotel... the hotel itself was great and the staff were great but it would have been nice to have been told that there is a very big hill that you need to go up and down to get to town, restaurants, etc. It was a bit of a challenge for us... going down was ok (a bit slippery at times). Going up the hill, we had to stop half way up for a few minutes and catch our breath (i'm 48 and I'm not athletic by any means but I'm also not in bad shape and it was a challenge for me). Despite that I would 100% recommend booking with this group (Travel Zone was the tour operator). I cannot say enough good things about Dilimar-thank you for everything :)

It was definitely an amazing tour! Overall experience i give it 5 stars. Was picked up at the airport promptly. Was disappointed with the hotel Athens lodge. The view was a storage room of a horse. Very filthy. First night at 430am they started construction work. Didn't sleep. Afterwards, the journey to Myconos was an experience on a jet ship. Stayed at Rheina Hotel. What a beautiful hotel we had or own cottage. The facility was beautiful, clean. The owner and family of the hotel were very welcoming. I felt at home. Myconos is such a beautiful island will definitely virus again

I would like to know if you have a reseller/agency partnership model. This way, I would be able to better position your products in Brazil, adding value through tailored services such as pre- and post-tour arrangements, travel insurance, and personalized assistance in Spanish. Also, do you offer the services in Portuguese?

My client enjoys the outdoors, walking, kayaking. However, she has bad knees and can't handle uneven ground, cobblestones, uphill, and staircases very well. Given the nature of Greece's terrain, can she manage going on this tour? Or do you have any accessible tours?

    Travel Support
    • Travel ZoneOperatorWritten December 2024

Based on her needs, our Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini semi-guided tour might be a suitable option. Athens: The tour includes a visit to the Acropolis, which involves walking uphill and navigating uneven ground. While this may be a challenge for her knees, we can recommend pacing the visit or considering alternative viewpoints nearby for an overview of the site. Mykonos & Santorini: These tours involve minimal walking and no strenuous activities. The itineraries are designed to allow ample time for relaxation and enjoyment of the scenic spots.

      1) The sleeping accommodations are for a shared room for two people correct? 2) Where can i find potential additional activities or excursions that can be added? Can she choose before the trip or does she choose while on her trip? One thing she was interested in was kayaking maybe while on one of the islands. 3) Is there a welcome orientation on Day 1 in Athens? 4) What is the average age group for a tour like this? I think since she's a solo traveler, being able to make new friends on the trip will be fun for her. 5) I see a wine tasting on Day 7 in Santorini, she is not interested in drinking during this trip. Is there an alternative to the wine tasting such as olive oil or maybe Alcohol free beverages? 6) The accommodations are said to be either 3 or 4 star, but are there specific places / names of the hotels? 7) Lastly, I believe Dilimar was referring to this specific tour in his recommendation, but I wanted to confirm once again. My client loves to walk but has a hard time on uneven surfaces, large staircases or hilly terrain. I wanted to make sure she won't have a problem or alternatives can be provided for her for this tour.

    • Travel ZoneOperatorWritten December 2024

Our packages only include shared accommodations for friends or family members traveling together. If your client is traveling solo, she will need to book a private room, which requires an additional single supplement. Additional activities or excursions can usually be added both before the trip or while on the trip, depending on availability. This tour is ideal for independent travelers of all ages, but typically participants range from mid-30s to mid-60s. If your client prefers not to participate in the wine tasting, we can arrange an alternative tour, or sampling non-alcoholic beverages. The only part of the tour that involves a significant amount of walking is the visit to the Acropolis of Athens, as it is located on a hill. However, this is manageable for most travelers who can walk at a steady pace.

Could you kindly share more details about the bed size in the Double Premium rooms? Also, would they still be able to use the airport transfers if they arrive a day earlier? And how long is the ferry ride?

In Greece, 4-star hotels typically offer bed sizes that align with European standards. These often have a double bed around 140–160 cm wide and 200 cm long. Queen beds are also common, usually about 160 cm wide and 200 cm long. If you arrive early, the airport transfers are still included, and we can offer pre-accommodation in Athens in the same hotel. The ferry ticket from Piraeus to Mykonos takes approximately 5 hours, from Mykonos to Santorini takes 3 hours, and from Santorini to Piraeus takes 8 hours.
