- Day 1
Guatemala City
Your trip begins when you land in Guatemala City. You'll meet your Trip Leader and the other travelers at a welcome meeting to get oriented. There's an optional dinner at a local restaurant if you want to start connecting with the group right away.

Guatemala City to Quirigua
After breakfast, you'll take a walking tour through Guatemala City's historic center to see the main sights. Then it's a private vehicle drive to Quirigua, about 3 hours and 50 minutes away. Once there, you'll explore the UNESCO Mayan ruins with their impressive 8th-century monuments, carved stelae, and sculpted calendars. Dinner is available if you'd like.

Landmarks/POIs Quirigua Ruins - Day 3
Quirigua to Finca el Paraiso
You'll have a guided visit to the Quirigua Ruins in the morning. From there, you head to the Castle of San Felipe de Lara, a UNESCO fortress from 1652 that was built to defend against pirates. Later, the group goes to Finca el Paraiso where you can swim in natural hot waterfalls to cool off. Optional dinner available in the evening.

Finca el Paraiso to Flores
After breakfast and a morning swim at the waterfalls, you'll travel by private vehicle to Flores, taking about 5 hours and 30 minutes to cover roughly 301 km. This island town sits on Lake Petén Itzá and you'll check in, do a walking tour with the group, then have free time to wander around and get familiar with the place.

Flores to Lanquin
You head out to Tikal, one of the major Mayan civilization sites located deep in the jungle. A guide takes you through this UNESCO site surrounded by lush vegetation. That afternoon, you travel to Lanquin, a charming village set between mountains, taking about 7 hours to cover 233 km. You'll check in, take an orientation walk, and have time to explore. Optional lunch is available during the day.

Lanquin to Uspantan
The morning is yours to choose. You can sleep in, check out the nearby Lanquin Caves, swim at Salto del Cabro waterfalls, or tube down the Lanquin River on your own. In the afternoon, everyone meets back up at Semuc Champey, a series of stepped limestone pools with cool flowing water. Then you'll travel along one of Guatemala's most scenic roads to Uspantan, taking about 2 hours and 36 minutes to go roughly 149 km. After checking in, there's an orientation walk and optional dinner.

Uspantan to San Jorge La Laguna
You travel to San Jorge La Laguna, a quiet Maya village in the hills overlooking Lake Atitlán, taking about 3 hours to cover 149 km. There's an optional hike along the lakeshore and a tour of the local villages if you're interested. For the night, you'll stay in a Mayan homestay where dinner is included.

San Jorge La Laguna to Antigua Guatemala
After breakfast, you head to Pacaya Volcano for an easy hike up to the 2,552-meter summit of this active volcano. Then it's on to Antigua Guatemala, about 1 hour away covering 36 km. This UNESCO city has well-preserved Spanish Baroque architecture and impressive colonial church ruins. You'll do an orientation walk with the group or explore on your own. An optional farewell dinner is available in the evening.

Your trip ends with a departure to the airport, which is 40 km away. You can take a private taxi or join the group shuttle at any time that works for your flight.
