This was a huge mistake. Do not book safaris to Africa with Bigzone. We had a nightmare besides leaving before time because it was too bad and tourradar only listens to the tour operator not customers eventhough there were many proofs sent. Justca waite of time and money cause we never got any compensation for what we had to go through. Do not book here!

Sophocles stated, "Our keenest sorrow is to recognize ourselves as the source of all our adversities." In more modern language this means that our ancestry and our life choices largely determine the experiences we encounter in life. I informed the sales operator, Bryan Kazungu that I was disabled. I put on the travel insurance that I was HIV+. I requested special assistance from Turkish Airlines. However, three weeks after my inability to travel to Kenya, I am left with the broken dream of going on an African safari before I die. I am also out $5,000 that no one will tell me how much and when my prepayment will be refunded. In three weeks, I have not even received a refund for the optional excursions and airport transfers that Mr. Kazungu told me were refundable. My life choices led to being HIV+, as well as mentally ill with a Parkinson's tremor due to the psychotropic medications I have been forced to take because of factors beyond my control. Do those factors allow the Kenyan government, Big Zone Safaris, and Turkish Airlines to rob me of the money that I borrowed with credit cards to go on a safari, one of my bucket lists experiences.

What is the difference between your two tours?

    Tour Details
    • Bigzone Africa SafarisOperatorWritten April 2022

The difference between the two tours is the starting point. One starts and ends in Nairobi and the other starts and ends in Mombasa. The route and parks visited in the two safaris are almost the same, like both safaris visit Masai Mara national reserve, Tsavo East and West, Lake Naivasha and the famous Amboseli National park. The safari which starts in Nairobi will visit Lake Nakuru park, while the safari that starts in Mombasa will not.

We are celebration our 30th anniversary! Do you recommend this one or have another suggestion for us. I like the Mombasa one, cause Mombasa has a beach.

    • Bigzone Africa SafarisOperatorWritten April 2022

I suggest you take the Mombasa option also since you will be celebrating 30th anniversary. Mombasa has beach hotels ideal for celebrations.
