Itinerary
- Day 1
Chennai to Pondicherry
A car picks you up from your hotel or Chennai airport for the drive to Pondicherry, about 235 kilometers south. You'll stop in Kanchipuram to walk through the silk markets and check out the ancient temples there. The Shore Temple in Mahabalipuram comes next, and it's a UNESCO World Heritage site with quite a bit of history behind it. Once you've had your fill, you'll continue on to Pondicherry and settle into your hotel for the night.

Pondicherry
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll spend the morning in Pondicherry itself. Auroville is the main stop, an experimental township from 1968 built around ideas of universal harmony and international living. Then you head into the French Quarters where colonial-era villas, old schools, Raj Nivas, Government Square, and various churches line the streets showing off that French and Tamil architectural mix. By evening you'll have time to walk along the beach before heading back to rest.

- Day 3
Pondicherry to Thanjavur
You'll leave Pondicherry after breakfast and drive towards Thanjavur, stopping first in Chidambaram to visit the Nataraja Temple, which is well-known for the Chidambara Rahasya. From there, you'll check out two more UNESCO World Heritage sites, Gangaikonda Cholapuram and Darasuram, both recognized for their detailed stone work and historical significance. By evening you'll reach Thanjavur and check in for the night.

- Day 4
Thanjavur to Trichy
Breakfast comes first, then you'll head to the Brihadeshwara Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the largest temples in India. Thanjavur has more to see including Vijayanagar Fort, Thanjavur Palace, and the Art Gallery with bronze and stone sculptures on display. Later in the afternoon, you'll drive about 60 kilometers to Trichy to visit the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, Rock Fort, and Jambukeswarar Temple before settling into your hotel.

Trichy to Chennai
After breakfast, you'll start the return journey to Chennai, a drive of approximately 330 kilometers heading north. Once you arrive back in Chennai, you'll be dropped off at your hotel or airport depending on your flight plans, which wraps up the tour.
