Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Dades Valley
You'll get picked up from your Marrakech hotel and start driving through the High Atlas Mountains, going over the Tizi n Tichka pass. Along the way, you'll pass through several Berber villages and see the landscape change around you. The main stop is Kasbah Ait ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that you might recognize from films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. From there, you'll continue toward Dades Valley, driving through the Valley of Roses and stopping for lunch somewhere along the route. By evening, you'll arrive at your riad where dinner and overnight stay are waiting for you.

- Day 2
Dades Valley to Merzouga
Starting early, you'll head through Tinghir to reach Todra Gorge, which is one of the most dramatic canyons around with towering rock walls. Next you'll go to Erfoud to visit a local fossil workshop and see how craftspeople work with fossils found in the region. After that, you'll arrive in Merzouga and swap your vehicle for camels. The camel trek takes you across the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, and you'll time it to catch the sunset from the desert. Later, you'll settle into a Berber tent camp where dinner is served by a bonfire with traditional drumming and music performances happening throughout the evening.

Landmarks Todra Gorge Erg Chebbi - Day 3
Merzouga
You'll get up before dawn to see the sunrise over the Sahara from your tent camp. After breakfast, you'll ride camels back from the dunes to Merzouga where you can freshen up at the hotel. Then you'll travel along Erg Chebbi to check out the massive pyramid-shaped sand dunes and explore Tissardmin, which has fossils and varied desert landscapes. You'll also visit desert nomadic settlements to learn how people actually live out here, seeing more of Erg Chebbi's dunes along the way. Later you'll reach Khamlia Village for a traditional Gnawa music performance, and then you'll have the afternoon free to wander around Merzouga on your own before heading back for dinner at the hotel.

- Day 4
Merzouga to Fes
You'll start driving toward Fes, passing through Erfoud, Aoufous, and the Ziz Valley in Errachidia. You'll stop in Midelt, a mineral mining town, for lunch and a break. After that, you'll drive through a cedar forest in Azrou where you can get out and see the Barbary Apes in their natural habitat. The route takes you through the Middle Atlas Mountains, and you'll stop in Ifrane, which locals call Moroccan Switzerland because of its Alpine-style architecture and scenery. From there it's the final stretch to Fes where you'll be dropped at your hotel to finish up your journey.
