Monrovia
You'll arrive in Monrovia and head to your hotel to settle in. Depending on when you land, there's time to start getting a feel for the capital with a historic tour if you're not too tired from your journey.

Monrovia
After breakfast, you'll take a city tour through Monrovia hitting the main historical spots. You'll see what's left of Ducor Hotel, check out the Joseph Jenkins Roberts monument, and visit Providence Baptist Church where Liberia's Declaration of Independence was signed.

Monrovia
Following breakfast, you're heading out on the Du River for some canoeing surrounded by mangrove trees. After that, you'll visit Bemah Village, which was once home to the Mamba Bassa ethnic group. It's a nice mix of water and cultural experience.

Monrovia to Gbarnga
You'll drive inland to Gbarnga in Bong County after breakfast. There you'll tour tribal villages and learn about the local culture and archaeological history. Later you'll see Kpatawee Waterfalls, which sits under a thick canopy of trees.

Monrovia
The day takes you to the world's largest rubber plantation, which has been part of Liberia since 1926. You'll grab lunch at the plantation restaurant and then drive through some of Liberia's older towns like Bensonville, Crozierville, Dennisville, and Careysburg.

Mansoa to Chimpanzee Island
After breakfast, you'll drive to Mansoa and board a boat heading to Chimpanzee Island. You'll get to see chimpanzees in their habitat and spot plenty of bird life while you're there.

Monrovia
This morning you have some flexibility with your driver and guide to plan out activities based on your interests. You can optionally stop by Jola House Women's Social Enterprise to see artisans making furniture and traditional household products. After that, you'll head to the airport for your departure.
