You'll arrive in Budapest and have the day to yourself. It's a good time to settle in, walk around the city, and get a feel for Hungary's capital on the Danube. Take it easy after your travels or grab lunch at a local spot if you're feeling up for it.
Landmarks Parliament Building - Day 2
Budapest
A guided city tour takes you through Budapest's main sights, including Heroes' Square. After that, your afternoon is free, so you can check out the Chain Bridge, walk through the Christmas market, or hit some local cafes and pubs. If you're up for a walk, there are hills above the Danube worth exploring.

Budapest to Vienna
You have a free day before boarding your cruise. Visit the Royal Palace grounds for photos, then head to one of Budapest's thermal bath spas (the city's known for them). Grab lunch at a garden or rooftop restaurant. By evening, you'll board your suite ship and set sail toward Vienna.

There's an Austrian cookie tasting while you're traveling. If you want, you can sign up for an optional evening Royal Waltz Concert in an elegant hall when you reach Vienna.

Vienna
Your guided city tour covers Vienna's major spots like the Imperial Palace, Opera House, and St. Stephen's Cathedral. Later in the day you're free to wander the Christmas market or sit down at a Viennese cafe. There's an optional tour to Schonbrunn Palace if you're interested. You'll catch live entertainment on the ship before sailing to Durnstein.

A guided walk takes you through Durnstein, a small valley town. Then you'll sail into the Wachau Valley toward Melk, where a guided tour shows you the Benedictine Abbey with its frescoed ceilings, statues, library, and ornate organ. The ship continues to Passau in the evening.

Passau
You'll take a guided walk through Passau, learning about this city where the Danube, Inn, and Ilz rivers meet. There's free time to browse the Christmas market near St. Stephen's Cathedral. If you prefer, there's a full-day optional tour to Salzburg instead. Either way, you'll return to the ship for an evening cruise to Regensburg.

Regensburg
A guided walk with your Adventure Host shows you the Altes Rathaus and Porta Pretoria (the old Roman fortress entrance from 179 AD). You'll have time to browse Regensburg's Christmas markets and sample hot mulled wine, candied almonds, gingerbread, or bratwurst. After dinner there's live entertainment before heading to Roth.

Spend your free time at the Christmas markets trying bratwurst varieties, gingerbread, mulled blueberry wine, and other Bavarian specialties.
