It was good; however, on Day 3 - when we were taken on a ferry with hundreds of people (we were unaware of this situation - you guys never told us the complete picture) - it took one hell of a time to get to Hydra. We were only given 45 minutes to spend on the island. How silly. I know for sure there are quite a few areas to explore on Hydra and one needs at least 3 hours to go around.
The 4 days Classic Tour was good and the guide Georgiou was very good. Some free time at Meteora would have been appreciated. The hotels were good except for the last night which was Delice Apartments which is virtually a cubby hole. Didn't like it one bit.

Tour worked out well and all was as described. However, there is no Eskapas in Greece, only a local agent who brought us to the first hotel. We were the only guest there for this tour. We were picked up the next morning and brought to a crossroads of buses run by GO Tours where we were put us on our rather full bus with English-speakers who had booked with their travel agents or direct with GO Tours. We had almost no info about where we would be staying, or later steps.

Loved this trip! Saw Athens' cool mix of old and new, then hopped to three beautiful islands - Hydra, Poros, and Aegina. So relaxing!
The mainland was full of pretty villages and ancient ruins. But Meteora was the best - monasteries on cliffs! Unreal views.
Everything was easy and well-planned. Perfect mix of fun and culture. Do it - you won’t regret it!

Hello Lee
Thank you for your time to review. Kind Regards Aysegul
The itinerary was well-planned. Athens was the perfect starting point. The Acropolis and the Parthenon were breathtaking, and our guide provided fascinating insights into ancient Greek history. Next, we traveled to Delphi, which was a highlight for me. The archaeological site is awe-inspiring! Finally, we visited Meteora, blown away by the incredible monasteries. The scenery is like something out of a fairytale, and we loved exploring the monasteries and learning about their history and significance. The only reason I’m giving this tour 4 stars instead of 5 is that the transportation could have been a bit more comfortable, especially on longer stretches. However, the guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and made the journey enjoyable overall. If you're looking for a mix of history, culture, and breathtaking views, this tour is definitely worth it! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Greece.

Hi Marc, Thank you for reviewing us. Kind Regards, Aysegul
Eskapas tour itinerary was misleading. It gave the impression it was going to be a guided tour throughout, when in fact it was multiple tour operators with different guides or none during the island hopping sector.
Some sections we were the only ones in the group and other days anywhere from 35 to 55 people were in the group.
Things were highly organised to the point of being unrelaxing and rushed.
We payed for 4star accommodation and in my opinion only 3 hotels were 4 star the rest being 3star.
Apprantly the opperator based the hotel star ratings on Google Reviews and not on Official Hotel ratings.
Be aware if considering this tour.

Dear James,
Thank you for taking the time to review our tour. As per the tour inclusions, the hotels advertised are 3-star in Athens and 4-star in mainland Greece. These accommodations were selected based on their high ratings and service quality,...

Many issues but number one issue was the 4 day part of the trip to Delphi. We were lumped together with a group of French speaking tourists so that the guide had to give information in English and then the same information in French. I'm sure the French group feels the same as I do that we were cheated out of half of our vacation because instead of our guide being able to show us more and explain it in one language we had to stand around listening to the same in another language. We should be compensated for 50% of our cost since we will never get to visit Greece or these sites again and will never see all of the things we missed because of this tour operators greed that superseded their guests experience. Also, originally the tour showed 30 persons max. After I complained before the tour started they have now changed it to 40 on the website and we had 40 to 50 at any given time as tourists came and went from the various tours. There were many other issues but I will let this main issue that ruined our vacation speak for itself. I would never book a tour with Eskapas ever again and I advise you not to as well.

Hi Carmen
Thank you for your review. Eskapas is usually known with its high quality service and organization. We are sorry that you are disappointed with the composition of the group in Delphi. However when the number of pax is not enough, the tour...

This your was more than we expected. From the moment of the airport pickup to the final transfer, everything was well-organised. Our guide, Elli, and driver, Socrates, were fantastic for the Classical Greece 4-day portion of our trip. They were so friendly and kind. Elli's knowledge was broad and she was able to satisfy our curiosity about even the most minute details. The itinerary was the right balance of activities and rest. We loved that they took us to museums adjacent to the ruins we were seeing so we could really immerse ourselves in the history and look on in awe at all the amazing artefacts.
Hotel Arethusa was the best located and comfortable 3-star hotel we've stayed in. The breakfast was great too. The hotel was a lot better than even some other 4 or 5-star hotels in other parts of Greece on our travels. Hotel Europa was another standout for food and comfort.
The tour group usually stay in Amalia Hotel when in Delphi, but because it was full of people attending the Delphi Economic Forum, we stayed at the Apollonian Hotel instead which was unfortunately not on par with any of the other accommodation options.
As for the half-day Athens tour, our guide was not very enthusiastic or engaged. We spent very little time actually learning about the Acropolis and some of the items in the museum. We were glad that we could spend our free time looking around by ourselves afterwards.
All in all, the breathtaking views at Meteora, the ruins at Mycenae, Delphi and Olympia etc. were more than enough to outweigh the small negatives mentioned above.
As for the Saronic Cruise, we liked exploring Hydra, had minimal time in Poros, but too much time in Aegina because we didn't join tours to go to specific historic sights.
This tour is well worth the positive reviews it receives. It's good value for money and even more accessible than expected for people on our tour who had small mobility issues.
Would happily do this tour again.

The tour itinerary was amazing!!! However booking through TourRadar means you’re actually purchasing three separate tours in one package. Upon arrival in Athens, you’re greeted by a guide who provides vouchers for various tours, including a one-day Athens city tour, a four-day inland tour, and a day cruise. Our Athens experience was adjusted, cutting the initial two-day stay to one, with the cruise now scheduled after the inland tour which we didn’t know until we arrived. The hotels were excellent, and meals featured both Greek and Western options. December travel offered fewer crowds, colder weather and being winter some attractions were closed. The Athens city tour included stops like the Olympic Stadium however you had no time for photos at any of other landmarks on the bus tour. However stopping at the Acropolis Museum and Parthenon were highlights, with a fully guided Parthenon visit offering time for photos at the top. The four-day inland tour was unforgettable, with comfortable 4-star hotels, buffet meals, and a fantastic guide and driver. A few suggestions include adding a photo stop at the Rio-Antirion Bridge and reconsidering the restaurant in Mycenae. The group size increased on the last day (which we only found out on the day too) and that added some logistical delays which wasn’t great but overall the tour was beautiful and our guide Thomas was excellent!!

This tour was everything I could’ve hoped for. The route took us through some incredible spots, especially Meteora and Delphi, which were truly memorable. Our guide Stelio was fantastic. He kept things engaging and shared so much without overwhelming us. The accommodations were good, and the group size felt just right for getting to know everyone.
