Itinerary
- Day 1
Pokhara to Ulleri
You'll arrive in Pokhara and settle in for the night. Early the next morning, a short drive takes you to Nayapul or Bhirethati village by the Modi River where the trek actually begins. The path starts gradually uphill through local villages, and you'll see cascading waterfalls as you move through forest and farmland. By afternoon, you're climbing toward Tirkhedhunga, a scenic farm village with waterfalls nearby. From there, stone-paved steps lead you up to Ulleri village perched on a high ridge, where you'll stay the night after a few challenging hours of hiking.

Ulleri to Ghorepani
After breakfast, the trek continues on a winding path through oak, pine, and rhododendron forests that gradually gain elevation. You're heading toward Ghorepani village, which has those distinctive blue-painted houses. The settlement is home to the Poon people, part of the Magar ethnic tribe. Ghorepani sits at the base of Poon Hill, and from here you'll get your first real views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, and Vara-Shikar. The walking is gentler today compared to yesterday's stone steps.

Poon Hill - Tadapani
Start before sunrise to hike up to Poon Hill at 3,210 m / 10,531 ft. You'll reach the top as the sun comes up, giving you panoramic views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu, Annapurna, Ganesh Himal, and Machhapuchare. After spending time taking in the scenery, head back down to Ghorepani and then continue trekking toward Tadapani. The route climbs through rhododendron forest, and by evening you're settling into Tadapani surrounded by rhododendron, magnolia, and oak trees with views of Machhapuchare and Annapurna South.

Tadapani to Ghandruk to Pokhara
This final trekking day starts with morning views of the Annapurna peaks before heading downhill into dense forest. You'll reach Ghandruk, one of the larger villages in the region, where the Gurung hill tribes live. From there, continue downhill on stone steps through warm farm areas until you reach Kyumi village. From Kyumi, you're driven back to Pokhara near Phewa Lake where you'll spend your last night in a comfortable hotel.
