    Kathmandu, Bagmati, Nepal (At Hotel)
  2. Day 2

    Kathmandu

This day is all about getting ready for the mountains ahead. You'll walk through Kathmandu's heritage sites in the morning and afternoon, which gives your body time to adjust to the altitude. It's also when you'll make sure your gear is in order and pick up anything you need before heading into the mountains.

    Included Activities

    • Sightseeing heritage site of Kathmandu
    • Trek preparation
  3. Day 3

    Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding

Early on, you'll head to the domestic terminal for your flight to Lukla. The 40-minute flight brings you through Himalayan views as you enter the Khumbu region, the gateway to Everest. Once you land, it's a short trek down to Phakding where you'll spend your first night in the mountains.

    Included Activities

    • Domestic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla
    • Short trek to Phakding
    Landmarks
    Lukla Airstrip
  4. Day 4

    Phakding to Namche Bazaar

You'll walk through Sherpa villages and forests today, crossing several bridges and passing where the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers meet. After about 2 hours of climbing uphill with your first real views of Mt. Everest coming into sight, you'll reach Namche Bazaar, the main hub of Sherpa culture and the Khumbu region.

In the morning, Namche Bazaar gives you access to internet, ATMs, shops, and restaurants to handle any last-minute needs. Later, you'll take a day trip to Syangboche and the Everest View Hotel where Mt. Everest and other major peaks become visible. This helps your body adjust before climbing higher.

    Landmarks
    Everest View Hotel
    Mount Everest

    Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

After breakfast, you'll trek toward Tengboche where a large monastery sits with great Himalayan views. The trail goes down to Sansa where routes split for Gokyo Valley and Everest Base Camp. From there you'll cross the Dudh Koshi River, pass through villages and pine forests, and gradually climb back up to Tengboche.

    Included Activities

    • Trek to Tengboche Monastery
    Landmarks
    Tengboche Monastery
  7. Day 7
